Apart from purchasing Gems through the App Store, destroying obstacles and vegetation seem to be the only way to attain gems. I believe one vegetation obstacle (Bushes, Wooden Logs, and Trees) respawns every 8 hours or so.

- Complete achievements (icon below your trophy count)
- Clear out tree trunks, mushrooms and stones (some have gems under them)
- Buy gems from in-game Shop (Treasure)
- Become one of the best ranking players, join a top 3 clan and be in the top 10 (this is a tough one, but hopefully we'll have a more robust tournament system in the future)
- Participate in our Forum competitions advertised on Facebook and Forum (winner gets free gems)
