This wouldnt make clan members more active and bring it new players its gonna make more Req&Go clans and more people getting screwed over so someone can get more XP off donations. Secondly restarting your village is not only not in the game but its a ruled out idea as well.
again be more selective in your clan...we don't add anyone we don't know into our clan. Friends of friends relatives join. And you run into the same risk with they way the game is now. Do you honestly think people will spend hundreds of thousands of elixer to donate for 5 gems? I don't think that kind of reward would entice anyone to clan hop to get rid of troops just for 5 gems or a some loot... it just isn't feasible just like you don't raid a village with 10,000 in loot because you spent way more than what the reward offers. Same thing would work in level rewards. Sure you could rush your troops, gem them hop and donate but is all of that worth it? No. And I think most of the CoC community would realize that.

Yes, actually. As some players do this already just to have a very high lv and friend in need.
An achievement would make it even more prominent.
I agree levels mean pretty much nothing and it would be great if they meant more. But I also know if I really wanted to lv up fast - there are many ways to do it.
Yeah he's just stubborn. In any case SC might feel like it's been the way it has for so long that they'll keep it that way. But even if they added this functionality it would have to be a small prize just like you said. 5 gems is nothing, yet it feels like you accomplish something for newer players too. They can even make obstacles spawn less often if giving away too many gems is what they're afraid of!
Exactly, I just want there to be a purpose of levels because when I look at a players profile I notice base layout and troop level I don't even bother looking at their level because it proves nothing.
I want to see levels matter again.
For those who say yes there will be people like that, the number of those people would be severely outnumbered by the true blue players. Just like there are a few who spend thousands on the game there are many who don't spend a dime.
You could at least tell the person you're speaking with that you understand. But you don't seem to understand.
- "Leveling is its own reward" just isn't true for a lot of players as I commented on page 1.
- "You arent lvl 100 are you, its a pretty good feeling to reach it" ok so for you it was, but does every player just have to agree and wait until they're 100 and see if it feels good?
- "And many clans have level requirements because your level represents your defense upgrades and donations" this is true, but you only start to appreciate this once and IF you become a high level player. There is absolutely no feeling of accomplishment in leveling up for a newbie.
- Also 5 gems / level wouldn't automatically make people do tons of donations in order to try and abuse, jesse already gave a good reason why. Using thousands of dollars to build a base isn't a good point for comparison.
Overall you're just saying "No." "You're wrong, just give it time." "People would act stupid if this was implemented." and yet you give no good reasoning to what you're saying. So yeah you were being stubborn and you may continue if that's all you can do.
