It's quite common when you aren't in a TH10/max TH9 clan.
Plus SC is against passive income (except for collectors in general) and a whole war win bonus is too much, especially when a base gets attacked 9 times because every lower base has been 3 starred already
That would give a greater incentive to make some good bases, like there isn't one already mind you. It would also give some of our lucky members that seem to somehow get regularly underestimated in base strength to net more loot.
I think they mean a war bonus, not the same sized war bonus you get for winning. And it has to be 0 stars, since some bases that get 1 star can get attacked repeatedly, sometimes getting one star, but not adding to the score otherwise, and was an effective lost attack, when technically it was a win.
I don't think that SC wants to incentivize individual efforts for personal gain that much. They won't even give people useless (in a sense) donation counts to people who donate in war so they probably won't give people stuff that mattters for doing something that could easily be copied off the internet
I know it was clan wins which was why I mentioned war donations.
Defense wins is a lot of luck and is unfair to the top players that rarely get attacked in clans that don't have mostly TH10/maxed TH9. Weaker attackers are likely to leave stronger bases for the stronger attackers or it might get left alone all together
The only way it would work is if your base throughout the entirety of the war gets no stars on it. You could have 5 defenses but that sixth one gets a star or two, nullifying the defensive bonus. You could only get 1 defensive bonus should you be able to defend throughout the war. As far as not getting attacked, no bonus. I attack high level Th10's all the time in war, as a TH9, and do not have much of a problem getting 1 star if not 2. So NO SOUP FOR THEM!
How about splitting the difference?
One main reason why a base would not be attacked is because it just is tougher looking than the rest, and people just don't want to mess with it. So in a way, while not totally provable, it is a 'win' out of just being intimidating; and should get something (Idk what off hand).
Now, if attacked, and no stars were done on you, you get a fair amount of a bonus for actually fending off an attack.
You would get partial of that reward depending on the stars scored on you, with 3 stars scored on you will remove the defence loot bonus completely.
But, there is something to be said for taking multiple attacks. If you defend against all of them, your defense bonus reward would go higher, since apparently your work in your base layout is paying off, as the base is working at stopping the other side from scoring and is using up attacks. Again, each star cuts down on the bonus, but if they gained no extra stars, as in you were one-starred, and got one-starred again, the second defence bonus would be noticeably higher, since your base still prevented them from scoring higher.
That's the basic idea, but I have no idea on how to put values on any of those. Is it a % of what they get from you as war loot bonus? Is it cost of troops and spells used? Is it based on some other value?
The comment about 'useless donation counts' is so true. Like why in the world did they not set it up to count our troops donated in war cc?? I read somewhere online before that Supercell was taking its time in creating the idea of clan wars to make it great. All that time they took and they still don't get what people want hahaha!
