Never ending DEBATE: MAXING TH9 including heroes and walls or NOT?

I maxed TH9, except:
- 49 lava, the rest Lego
- Heroes grind from 13/14 to 18/19 for two months
- Lab all done, except valk L1 and golem L2.
- Idle builders...

Then I click TH10 while continue grinding heroes and walls for 14 days.

Now, 2 full months down the road as TH10, I was grinding elixir and all buildings done. Elixir are for research lab only now, and to dump into walls.
Heroes upgrading to 21/26
9 zap, 89 lavas, the rest Lego

Do I regret without fully max TH9 ? No.

My reasons:
1) extra 20 space army camp for attacking helps a lot in farming and war.
2) DE is much easier and faster with an extra drill. Attacking also somehow get DE faster.

Not sure where the "No" answer is. It's not worth it to waste so much time with builders and lab sitting idle.

+1. I finish lego in a month but ive hard time grinding for lava mostly because its getting boring. I will move to th10 once ive max defence.

Lol, misread what the post was asking... but yeah, level 10 walls is too much of a grind. I'm staying at 9 because I still have a few lab upgrades to finish, but even if/when I do not have full lavas, I'd rather move on to 10 and get better maxed out troops tho I kind of don't trust them to be as effective if SC continues on down this path of dumbing down troop AI.

was wondering what you were on about earlier, haha!

Kind of liking the grind myself. Sitting at 153 lavas, bk18, aq11. I know that if I move to 10 I won't get to spend another dime on walls for at least 6 months (guess) til all the defenses are done. Unless lix becomes very usable for walls it will still cut my wall making ability in half. True my builders are sleeping but it isn't bothering me a bit. I love watching troops trying to break my lavas whilst my defenses are shooting away on them.
With that said I am constantly imagining th10 goodies and where I would incorporate them into my base. I think once I get the heroes to 20+ I might take a run at champs just to see what it's like up there. Will move on to 10 when whatever comes last, heroes to about 25 or all lavas.

There isn't a category for me to put my answer in the poll, so here's my thoughts instead;

I maxed all troops and spells, except for valks, which I took to lvl 2. Why the dismissive attitude towards the valks? Meh, I never use them. Still, I figured I might as well bring them up at least 1 lvl before upgrading to TH10.

I also brought about half of my base's walls to lavas. I really, really was considering going the distance but I simply see too many TH10s doing fine apparently with purple walls to think that its worth the effort and time to wait. So 50% was it for me.

I haven't done so well on heroes -- my BK is lvl 15 and my AQ just finished lvl 12 during the TH upgrade. to be honest, that is attributed to laziness and probably a misunderstanding of how well the heroes can perform once they get to higher lvls.

The one point I would make in favor of taking your time and maxing out what you can (mostly) at TH9 before pressing the button for the upgrade is the cost of everything. I've only been in TH10 for a short while but wow -- waaaaaaay different than the loot I was obtaining as a TH9. It would have been mind breaking to have to farm at this rate to obtain the gains I made as a TH9.

So my vote is to max out about half of everything, and if you start early on the heroes (like back in TH8), then yeah -- max them as far as you can, as well....
