Elixir overload

Need some pointers!

I have a ton of elixir because im done with the upgrades.. Should I use them for level 9 walls (even though I have level 7s still) or use them for crazy troop composition

Well, depending on your wall level, upgrade your walls.

Upgrade your troops, upgrade your storages, upgrade your barracks, upgrade your dark barracks, DE drills, DE storage, and uh... upgrade your camps.

Looks like youre a th9. Don't bother wasting it on expensive troops if you can already do lvl9 walls. Many people start lvl9 without finishing lvl7 anyway, as it allows you to dump resources in upgrading them to lvl8 when you have somewhere between 500k-1mil and cant do a lvl9.

Basically just do lvl9 walls.

Never ever ever waste a elixir for some crazy troop composition. If you have excess elixir then farm your gold. Always put your gold as your priority resource. And also dump those elixir on lvl 9 walls then use some excess gold for your other level 7 walls.

What a silly question.

Use them for something beneficial (walls) vs waste the elixir (troops). Obvious answer.

It seems that a majority of players experiencing elixir overload are in TH8, myself included. When I raid in G3-1, I commonly see th8 bases with 300k+ elixir and less than 100k gold. I'm midway through TH8 and here are my remaining elixir spends: one level 1 dark barracks, two level 9 barracks, and about 40 days left of research time. Builders are busy with upgrading defenses so I find myself hitting 6mil elixir quite often.

It's too premature (in my opinion) to start my TH9 upgrade. Plus my main gold intake is from TH7s sitting on close to max gold waiting for the upgrade to TH8. So the only other options are to donate high cost troops to clan mates (dragons, pekkas) and practice/refine war compositions like dragloon and gowipe. The other TH8s in my clan are doing the same.

This is what I am finding with elixir overload. I left my walls till the end of TH8 and I am really regretting it now. I have been sitting at or near maxed elixir storages for a week now and I'm not even half way done with taking my walls from level 7 to 8. I still also have 33 days of research time. It pains me letting elixir go to waste when raiding for gold but I don't want to go to TH9 quite yet either!
