How is Most Heroic attack/Defence Determined?

Supercell. Please draw a right conclusion for the above question so that other players stop making there non sense logics behind this..

your attack strength (ie troops/spells/heroes level) compared to their defense strength (ie defenses+walls+heroes level)

the player with the highest difference (weighted by number of stars scored) gets the title.

your defense strength (ie defenses+walls+heroes level) compared to their attack strength (ie troops/spells/heroes level)

the player with the highest difference (weighted by number of stars scored) gets the title.

I'm pretty sure that the most heroic attack depends on the amount of elixir spent on the raids, I know it sounds stupid but it may be true, my clan has tested out like the higher ranked people would attack using giant wiz and use only 250k elixir and then the medium ranked players would use max drags using around 400k elixir and both attacks attacking their opposing number and the higher ranked player getting more percentage than the lower ranked. We've tested this multiple time and it seems to work Everytime, even like our th10's would use giantWiPe and our th9s would use GoWiPe and score less than the th10s but still get most heroic attack.

The game weighs up attack strength vs defence strength when picking a recommended target.
So whoever exceeds that target by the highest percentage in comparison to strength/defence again gets Most Heroic.
