Wizard Tower first IMO.
I upgraded all new buildings to max th8 level, then went wizard towers to 7.
Now I'm xbow to 2 and air defense to 7.
With level 7 air x bows can be ground only
I still haven't finished maxing my mortars + wizard towers. Sure, they are more effective against people that actually attack me, however:
Black walls = Intimidation -> I get lots of snipes
Black Xbows = Intimidation -> I get lots of snipes
Smart base, covers all spawn points to edges, lots of potential tesla/bomb locations -> I get lots of snipes
I did Xbows straight to level 3 continuously, then worked walls and teslas and heroes, while finishing all the elixer buildings I neglected in TH8 and gained in TH9. Now all I have left is 1 more DE rax to level 6, and every single non-lab elixer upgrade is done.
Now I get to dump elixer constantly, which makes me an extremely unappealing target to raid -> I get lots of snipes.
Honestly, I think my base would be pretty easy for someone to smash. My Air D are only level 6, I have 1 wizard tower going to 7, rest are 6, 1 mortar going to 7, rest are 6. It's just extremely rare for someone to seriously try my base, regardless of how much I show, unless I'm showing a lot of all 3 resources (and then a TH10 smashes me with an army that even if I was max'd I probably couldn't defend).
If you can sit out the two week I would do them as soon as possible. I have four builders and had them upgrading to lvl 3 at the same time. I'm not a very active player but the two week wait was really long. But now I'm really happy that they are done. While upgrading I was attacked half of the time where the other half were snipes. I had enough loot available for people to attack me. But since the xbows are done I only had snipes. They are lvl 3 for a week now. I'm in Gold I/II. And now the most expensive upgrade is done, next up wizard towers.
Of the weapons i have only xbows to upgrade to level 3 now. I left it as is to not get over matched in war as the difference between lvl 2 and lvl 3 isnt thats much IMO when I have raided and when our clan gets more powerful clans due to xbows its not worth it for me.
I am keeping one builder free almost at all times for walls only as i needed to get level 8 and 9 walls before i do th10 upgrade and didnt want to stay th9 just to do walls.
My general way of progressing when i go up a TH is to do loot collecters and camps ASAP as that is extra free loot and bigger army means better chance at winning my raid objectives. At TH9 the upgrades took so long that if i had all builders working my storages get full before they finish and i am a bigger target and i cant enjoy raiding for loot hence also keeping one builder free was so useful to me to spend on walls and continue raiding
for me you can wait and use it for another like walls or mortar first
I decided to wait. Got my first mortar going and will keep one mortar, WT and Tesla going full-time until they are done. Other two builders will rotate between the rest.Quote:

The difference "isn't that much"? Lol Ummm what? You do realize that the x bow upgrade from level 2 to level 3 is the single biggest upgrade in terms of DPS of any defensive structure in the game right?Quote:
