Here are links to replays of several attack styles that might help you learn different strategies to luring and destroying cc troops. My personal favorite is luring the cc into a small group and using a balloon to destroy.

How do handle CC troops:
here's a vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XitC6zQtNOc
if vids aren't for you, you can read, 4 main factors to keep in mind when dealing with cc
1: how many troops will you lose killing the cc, eg. lure with 2 hogs = 10 spaces, + 4 wiz and 4 arch to kill drag in cc = 30 spaces gone
2: what will you lose if you don't lure cc, drag kills 20 of your 30 hogs and you fail
option 1 was better in that case, just examles though.
3. Time it's gonna take to lure, if you waste 1min on lure and kill you might run out of time for 3 stars
4. is the CC radius behind all defenses or not, if it is, it's never worth trying to lure imo
now another scenario, you are using gowipe, you pick option 2, you don't lure, you place your first rage spell and wizards kill that drag before you lose any troops, option 2 (not luring) gives a much better result than option 1 ( luring) where you would have lost 30 troop spaces, and it saves you time
I always apply scenario 2 and I don't lure, troops build up momentum and I lose none or almost no troops when I kill the cc, It's all in the initial rage spell, it works with all golem based raids, you place your first rage spell in the first pocket of the base so that your wizards under rage meet up with the cc troops and kill them before they can do damage, it works on witches, dragons, wizards, valkyries, balloons, archers, minions, anything in the enemy cc, if you watch the vid it'll probably be a lot easier to understand and believe, but IMO the only time luring the cc will ever benefit you is when you lure it to the side you are gonna attack from and use witches to kill the cc without any of your troops dying, it's less risky and also easier to do, but bringing 2-3 witches every raid isn't always practical or possible, in many cases lightning spells work very well to kill the CC and the barb kings ability, in my YT vid "an intro to farming with giants" I raided a base with lv5 wizards and a valkyrie in the clan castle witch I didn't lure, I had level 4 giants at the time and 1 lightning spell lv4 + the barb king ability took the CC troops out before any of my troops died, lightning spells are very good to deal with witches in cc and archers too, even wizards if you have good aim, but they are useless against dragons, while a well placed rage spell will never fail to kill the enemy cc without any troop loss if you are accustomed to doing it, GL killing the CC's:p
