Revenge when opponent is online, specific situation details

i know its been suggested and has not been voted on or ruled out but i thought id throw some scenarios out there that people would find troubling and suggestions on how these scenarios can be handled

*if they are attacking they shouldnt be interrupted but if they are just sitting online doing anything else them there is no reason why revenge shouldnt be taken.
**if they are in the middle of editing their layout, the village they had saved most recently would be the one to be attacked
*** if revenge is taken while you are online you should automatically be taken to the live attack

--- if the person you are trying to get revenge on has a shield you SHOULD NOT be able to attack BUT at least show the time remaining on their shield

I don't like how it would be impossible to chat with your clan above 2000 trophies.

Or you can wait till they are shieldless like you are suppose to

i think this is very hard to implement because opponent may perform changes on layout, buying stuffs, searching, attacking, etc..

There would still be the technical issues of having 2 things going on simultaneously with a given base. If you look at the current game structure you can see that the software does not support that.

I think you are mad at someone for raiding you and overly eager to get him back. That's making you try too hard to push this direction. (That I personally think is seeking for SC to do something unfair to others on your behalf.) I think you have taken the game way to personally if you are that fixated on revenging someone. You should instead, if revenge isn't there, just forget him (The movie Frozen speaks to this. Worth seeing.) and go get your loot back by stealing if from someone else.

I swear people are completely clueless at the concept of a two way street.

The easier is it to revenge, the easier to be revenged.

I hardly have have anyone i want to revenge but theres a lot of bases that i wrecked who would love to revenge me.

I think you are speaking from the standpoint of someone that tends to come out on top. The OP seems to be speaking from a different standpoint.

i dont care if i get revenged. im well aware of the 2 way street. if somebody wants revenge on me then so be it. i take my attacks on the chin but its ridiculous how much time people have on their hands to sit on clash for hours on hours without logging off. im not obsessing revenge on one particular player thats ridiculous. seems to me like the only people that have a problem with this are 1. ♥♥♥♥♥ers who use a mod to stay online and 2. guys that are constantly online and see no personal gain from this change because they know they wont be attacked anyway.

guys that come out on top shouldnt worry about a change. if you are good enough of an attacker to constantly come out on top and you feel like more people would want revenge on you than the other way around then your base is most likely up to par where you can defend. isnt defending also a part of the game? you build your village to defend, you attack to get loot so you can build stronger defenses. so why are people like you two guys that commented before me so scared to let their village do what it was made for?

Don't agree with the attack while online bit, but I really hate those China people who are on for hours... I feel the shield status/ duration is easy enough to implement, and should be available for revengers, won't take much to show status and duration (maybe in hours if hard to put in min?) in terms of programming, and also would be fair, since only the revengers will be able to make use of it. Also would be fair to those people who purposely waste their lives for hours to prevent attacks, at least they can still be protected. Being able to revenge while online will make staying on for ages redundant, and may ♥♥♥♥ off champion players who do this to push trophies. (They have no lives anyway IMO, let them be.)

is "do able" in fact, but really too expensive and complicated for "nothing".. just to make the player more comfortable..

It's unfair be attacked when a player is online. It's impoasible to implement it. What about those you attacked and couldnt revenge you? It's a cicle.

I think the OP is letting him self get to emotionally fixated on revenging a specific base. He doesn't want to just raid. he wants to get the guy that got him. its gotten him to the point where he wants to mess up the game just to allow him his special situation. its gotten him to dismiss or say he doesn't care about the very legitimate reasons guys have given that this would be bad for the game. It has gotten him to outright kid himself on the technical issues guys have advised him on.

I am sort of repeating what I said earlier in the thread. But also I think its really what the OP needs to take a step back and see.

im not angry player and its not a silly suggestion. if it was silly revenge wouldnt be there in the first place. im sure when SC was making this game they said hmm.. wouldnt it be great to get a chance to pay back someone who raided your village. Im also sure that they didnt know it would be next to impossible to use this feature.

If i want take revenge on somebody, he/she is either online or has a shield (24 7?!).
It's almost impossible if someone has his TH outside to take revenge on him
because there are too many TH snipers who give my enemy a free shield!

If you keep it like this, revenging makes no sense, imo.

I certainly is a silly thread. A little selfish even. You are ignoring a lot of very valid points that have been raised that are basically telling you that. Not just my own. Several members have weighed in now. So don't kid yourself, you have let your emotions cloud your judgment.

So you are aware its impossible to implement but you are still demanding it?

Impossible = Impossible to do within any remotely justifiable cost. The current game engine would need something between a major overhaul and a rewrite to be able to support more than one thing happening with a base at the same time. Then Server space would have to be increased not quite by double, but close to it.

If this was ever implemented, wed have hordes of threads such as "I can't keep any loot anymore, the second I log off 200 of my enemies gets a notification that I'm off and get full raided for all my resources. Fix revenge Supercell!"

This request is the worst and most idiotic of all requests in the history of Clash of Clans, and I've seen some bad ideas in my time here.

I'm farming at 2000 cups. I'm on the revenge list of a lot of TH9-10 that would be very happy to attack my more then 80% full storage, i don't want to come back from a raid to get crushed by a TH10 and lose like 200-300k ressource while i'm stealing 200-300k per attack and it's mostly 200k.

And for trophy pusher, i'm sure they wouldn't be happy to lose their hard earned trophy at the and of their attack because someone revenged them with the best army against their base.

How would people farm for expensive upgrade?

Btw, my four last defence are revenge and my th is outside.

i guess you all forgot that you get shields when you either lose your town hall or allow 40% damage so tell me again how that will work? your only arguments are 'it will be too hard to implement' or 'your just an angry player obsessed with revenge.' none of you against this made a decent point.

like i said before your village is built to protect.

a simple resolution to getting revenged too often can be simple if SC reduced the amount of attacks saved in your defense log. i think now you can see the last 30 attacks. if they dropped that down to lets say 5. you cant just go on a revenge spree all day. maybe revenge can expire after a certain amount of time much like replays expire

I farm TH9\10 in Crystal 2. All hard players. All for lots of loot. All players who can smash me as hard as I smashed them.

The only times I've ever been smashed is by revenge. You want to make it easier?

I understand if you farm low leagues where you aren't worried about revenges because you pick on noobs, but not all of us go down bullying in low leagues.

Those of us that have to worry about it would never want to intensify that worry by making ourselves available while online or an indicator that tells all of our enemies that were ready for a pounding.

You fail to recognize how much this system protects you as much as it protects those that you want to revenge.

you fail to realize if you get smashed you get a shield. if you go and get 5 raids in pulling in lets say 300k in loot per raid you have made 1.5 million in loot. One of them get revenge and wrecks your village and gets 300k out of you, you get a shield and profit 1.2 million. thats not good enough?

fyi I'm in master III and break into master II & I occassionally and i rarely get the luxury of attacking a th9. all i see are th10s

No being interrupted after every attack would be both annoying as well as nearly impossible to hold on to any resources.

You fail to realize that people would spam revenge and you would likely be revenged after 2 attack.

And i don't want a shield after 1.5m, i want it when i decide i can't play anymore that sessions. Actually i break my shield when i get one, no mather how long i could keep it because i know i cant get more then what i'm going to get stole when i log out, but with your idea a couldn't cause someone could revenge me nearly whenever he want.

It bad when you play session to get loot but get interupt in middle or get attack everytime make after an attack

skip an active good base bcoz worry getting revenge sometime in future

if you want to force attack online village you get consequences like
the owner can deploy troops to interups you since the chief is there(all troops on army camp)
in anyplace they want(barbarian gonna be too op)

The real reason this is impossible is if I have enough loot for an upgrade and press the upgrade button at the exact same second you press revenge....how much loot would there be? OR...If I have just upgraded with elixir and have enough to fill my camps, but you revenge and steal more elixir from me, now I can't train an army for attack and have to sit idle until my collectors get me back up. This is stupid....plus I was always under the assumption if I (as chief) am online then my army is at home in my village. When I am offline then we are on the march. If you were to attack me while I am at home....with my army....then shouldn't my army be able to help defend my base?

For a guy that has gotten into that phrase you 'fail to realize' a lot of things. How many people have to give you how many good reasons why this would be a stupid change to the game if it was even possible, and its even been explained quite well why it is not. And yet you keep arguing. Don't tell me you are not an angry player you are so emotionally vested about some revenge you want to do. You have no filter of what you would ask for even turn the game on its ear just because you want to get some guy. You want it so bad you have lost all sense and reason and even lost the ability to listen to it. You have even tried getting crappy with guys for not agreeing with you but apparently that has not shown them your wisdom either.

I think that COC could show the time remaining on their shield... ;)
But the revenge idea is dumb!! Because sometimes I just make myself online to protect my resources until one of my builder become free to make an update!! :o

And actually those too points are pretty big. They are a lot more important than appeasing some kid overly eager to get some back at specific people. Revenge is a very small part of the game, a little sideline. its mostly noobs that obsess with it. The rest have learned enough ways to get out there and win loot that its just not that important other than the occasional opportunistic amusement.

And of course the technical problem that prevents it anyhow which several have explained to you. perhaps that's just going over your head.

this is exactly my point, people like this that stay online just so they cant get attacked. its cheesy and your exploiting how the game works. who knows can happen if you get a revenge attack, your defense might just win for you. not everybody is capable of beating every opponent. grow a sack people

No he is legitimate. If he wants to do the work its his right to do it and tough cookies for some guy that wants to revenge him. Feel free to outwait the other guy and if his will is stronger than yours then you have been beaten fair and square.

The fact is most of us can't just hang online all day (I sure can't) because of a thing called life. But also guys usually can only try testing if they can revenge for so long either if they too have a life.

This request is just a guy that wants a free pass so that he doesn't have to do the work.

And I am guessing OP is in the noob category if he knows no other way that he is this committed to this one and only thought. (Only a guess, but its based on very real signs that can be seen)

Maybe you play the game for a few months and as you learn it better you will know more ways to do things.

Not everybody is a maxed TH10, and even a maxed TH10 can get half of his base destroyed, if not more.

im not a kid, im not obsessing to get revenge on specific people and im certainty not a noob i do very well without revenge. i made a suggestion here on the clash forum and that makes me over eager? if i knew all farmers were going to have their panties in a bunch i probably wouldn't have came here in the first place. if revenge is there why shouldnt it be a usable part of the game? because it would be harder to farm huh? get outta here

You did not edit typos. You deleted the entire section after rethinking what you were saying. (Would not be a bad approach to this entire thread so feel free to delete that too)

3: Farmer stop doing storage raid because they don't want to be revenged, Trophy pushers can't do anything.
4: Storage farmer start hitting only dead base, so they don't revenge(cuz they're dead bases).
5: Dead bases dry up, no more loot, no more trophy push, the game die. The last player are the collector farmer with th outside riding their shield.

He doesn't think that matters. He values revenge more than those aspects of the game. He did not expect everyone to have their panties in a bunch over those points. (except me, I wear the Spidey stuff that doesn't bunch)

Let's say you attack 20 people in a session, that put you on 20 people's revenge list, if they all choose to hit you back, you'll be broke,mand never able to save

guys ill admit that this is not a perfect suggestion but the concept is good and i know it. tweeks would be made to prevent any exploitation just as any other addition or changes are. SC would most likely put limits on how many times you can get raided as well as how many times attackers are seeking revenge. maybe a seperate shield that only stops revenge when you are online. i dont know, but something would be done to keep things from getting out of hand.

The concept at its core is absolutely terrible.

You cant seem to grasp the concept. There are far more people that what to revenge you than you want to revenge. To want to have easier revenges means you make it easier for others to revenge you. If for every attack i make, that guy can easily revenge me, how would i ever progress? Only two types of people could progress: 1) those that binge play and attack endlessly for hours or 2) those that start farming revenges. People will be more reluctant to raid and casual players will suffer significantly.

This feature, and any similar deviation, could single handed lay destroy this game.

Again, terrible idea and horrible concept.

An 24h revenge shield, no mather what the result make it better. Don't forget you should still receive a normal shield.

yes! this would be fine i was thinking maybe a 16 hour revenge shield but either way. this would be a neccessary addition to keep from being hit with revenge over and over

Just wait for them to sign off. Its a pain, I know, I had to wait 5 hours to revenge someone once with the easiest base I've ever seen.
