Why is DE better at th10 vs th9?

Each individual plays differently, spending different hours/day. Boosted (barracks/spell/heroes) or not, Gemming, etc.

Both statements are correct. When I was TH9 and concentrating on farming DE to upgrade heroes and research, my TH10 clan mate with maxed 3x L6 drill was scratching his head why my DE storage is filling up faster than him, at a rate of 1.5x-2x although I am no where near the DE super-farmers in this forum.
Another point is, at that time, he was at Gold II , and I was at Crystal III with 100 DE bonus per win.

Now I'm in early TH10, and it seems DE is coming easier, even without fully concentrating on farming DE.

So, it depends. Everyone plays at their own skill, speed and time.
