When a spy comes a calling during war and they are flying the flag of our opponents region it makes it much more amusing to keep the door locked.

Clash is far more likely to expand the flag system to include as many flags as possible than it is to eliminate it. which would help work towards the "equality" you speak of without pissing off players that want their flags. Don't try to cause more problems instead of making things better.
There are more than 200 countries in the world .It is not possible to add all the flags
