WHY do people trap Town Halls? Answer below please.

they do it so that u cant send on archer in take out the th, claim victory and then use the rest of your army to steal your resources. by trapping the th it means the attacker will have to throw lots of troops in to get the win so they dont drop trophies and then will have a weakened army and may decide the storages are to hard to get too

I think its misguided to imagine it protects your resources better to trap your th.

If people are genuinely sniping for cups they will skip a trapped th, it's normally pretty obvious.....

If there is a lot of loot on show and the th is clearly trapped then its a fair bet that the resources themselves arent trapped so its easier to get them. So people farming loot are more likely to attack you if the base looks hard enough that they might have skipped, they'll just not bother attacking the th.

Unlike the OP it doesnt bother me, but i do point out to clan mates who do it to better protect loot that they would be much better off leaving it untrapped.....

If people are doing it for 'fun', then they should deffo keep those good times rolling! I imagine it's a riot

If they're so stupid and you can 100% them at will, why do you care? I saw all kinds of things in-game that I don't do, but I don't make a thread about it.

I do it when I get low in cups, i go to bed and wake up to an extra 200 cups, sometimes more.

You can't do that when you have to many resources though, the big boys come and remind you that you are still just a bug.

it wouldn't stop th sniping for pusher, but would be an incencitive to do it solely for league bonuses (even if you still get some) but would rather help to see formal attack (the way it should be)

I also think that a defense league bonus should be implemented

I trap mine with all my teslas and enjoy the show. Watching them dump the entire army and spells over 10 trophies is amusing. It costs nothing to rearm. While they wait to rebuild the army I'll swoop in and take back more than the trophies they got from me.

Actually th trapping works well at higher leagues. Ppl WANT that win bonus and WILL use lots of their attack power to get th down. Then they don't enaugh left for taking loot. Attack also comes always from th side, you can build defences to protect that direction.

Doens't work on lower leagues...

It is very obvious which TH's are trapped.

It amused me to go all out on them, set off all their traps and 2/3 star them regardless of how much resource they have.
