So I was using my mini account to speak norsk the correct global server to see who else was on, and then people start talking smack to me, and swearing, etc for not speaking english. Within a couple minutes, enough people reported me for not speaking english on norsk that I received a 24-hour ban. What the heck?
Half the kids that play this game are 8 years old
Yes, very sad it has come to this. Sadly, Norsk is no more. Even the high level players that are there are kids who were late to the party.
Norsk was quite amusing for a few weeks. You could talk to others you know in other clans and actually talk to people you want to on Global.
Then someone let the cat out of the bag and it was inundated with attention seekers and bores with an enormously inflated sense of their own importance or 'fame'.
I have sympathy for the native users.
There was a #save norsk" campaign recently on the forums. It was clearly stated that people who spoke in english would be reported.Quote:

Sad - but there we are. If people are being rude and swearing just take screenshots and report via in game settings.
Norsk is kind of terrible. The other night I was on there, it was full of white supremacists talking about protecting their Europe from immigrants. It got very uncomfortable.
I honestly think that there are kids who actually think norsk is just a random high lvl server and not a language.

I am norsk myself, and the exact same thing happened to me a couple of months back, its really freaking ridiculous lol
supercell could solve this by just making a 100+ global (like a global where you have to be level 100 or higher in order to enter) but that probably wont happen

This is very clearly a situation where people have been exploiting their power for personal gain, sure nobody will die because of it but it's still injustice and it's still a problem.
I hope that one day Supercell changes it so what global chat room you are in is based on your ip location rather than what language you have selected.

It's one of those problems that is not solvable - you can't fix it with technology or people will be upset - putting people in chat rooms based on IP would simply annoy all the Hispanics living in the US, the Wallens living in Belgium, the Mandarin speakers living in London etc - you see the problem you need to give people choice.
You get banned because you 're annoying or try to become annoying. Grow up. World is not all about you and yourself.

I remember that PANG Movement, all it did was create more exposure to the whole Norsk thing and more kids who didn't know about it jumped on. It was more probably made it worst than trying to fix the problem. Norsk was good when it started, it's now worst than the English globals.

The truth is that Supercell can't do anything to stop them, not even authomatically switching the keyboard on Norsk to have the Norwegian alphabet, because peope would type English words with those levels.

It is sad it has come to this, i do still think it is ultimately due to Supercells failure to improve global. I go on English global sometimes (I'm in champ), and most of the guys have been pretty nice and just said nice base and chatted.
It is impossible to recruit on English, and dam well hard on Norsk too. I cant even find a higher level person to just chat to half the time. I am pretty sure that English global had more higher levels in before ppl moved to norsk.
Supercell really need to improve the global chats.
