Idle Mode(?) - Mode to allow base to be attacked while online
Couldn't think of a good name for it. And yes, silly or possibly stupid, but asking around anyway.
I'm one of those crazy people that want my base attacked to try to get that defence win achievement.. Also it is just nice to see a raid give you so may trophies for just sitting there. :p
Anyway, the idea hit me that it would be nice if I could stay online, mess around with base layouts, talk to people on the clan channel, and still be available to be attacked. Right now I'm at an opportune time for base attacks. I'm stuck with no use for gold for 2-3 weeks while final upgrades are finishing (btw, upgrade your lab ASAP!), still want to idly raid, and have near max capacity gold in my storage. Elixir I'm able to raid enough for an army, and I have 9 days to get enough Dark Elixir for one last upgrade; so being looted isn't a real annoyance right now. Trophies aren't a big issue either, since I'm not trying to push for higher leagues, only to find bases with much higher TH levels than me.
So basicly the idea is you set it to (working name) Idle Mode, and your village access is locked, until of course you turn the mode back off. You can view your village, can see it get attacked, but you can't queue troops to train, move things, donate (?), or anything else you normally can't do while actually offline. Things you can do that don't directly affect your village would be chatting to others on the channel, viewing other bases and profiles, and playing around in the Layout Editor, with the active village slot locked, and unable to change what your active layout is.
I also suppose this Idle Mode could also be counted as your mandatory break when being online for so long, since your village will be attackable; and that's the main reason for that break. I suppose maybe you can get to see your village 'from the outside' and see what kind of loot values other raiders see.
