Bad idea to start th10 upgrade?

I'd definitely suggest getting higher level heroes. Everyone says a third drill at th10 makes getting higher level heroes a lot easier but I say they designed TH10 with a third drill to help you push past level 30 heroes. I'm working on getting mine to level 20 before I hit the TH10 button while working on legos.

If you are an active played I would say go to th10 - there is honestly no down side that I can think of (ok, loot penalty from th8 and below, but so what).

After following this fantastic thread http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...Premie-Journey way back when I was a th8 I have been convinced that it has been way more fun (and challenging) to upgrade the town hall once defense structures are almost maxed.

I never regretted going to th9 / th10 as a "premie" and I doubt other active players have either.

You dont need higher level heroes or higher level walls. Go to TH10. The game didnt get interesting for me till then. I also havent had any issues with leveling my heroes just stick around crystal 2 and you will be fine. I can make about 100k DE a week and that still keeps a hero down each time(I dont like to have 2 down at the same time anyways).

A part of me wishes I had stayed at TH9 to do Lavas, tbh.

At the time, I upgraded to TH10 because of the ease of which people could 3 star a TH9 with Hogs. I was getting attacked by Hogs even in Gold leagues.

I sense this is no longer an issue, so if you have the patience to stay at TH9 and do some lavas then I'd go for it.

It is still possible to farm walls at TH10, but it is more difficult.

I opted for max defences instead of higher level walls and don't have too many regrets. But you will get walls done more efficiently at TH9, I imagine.

Your heros are a similar level to mine when I made the jump. I didn't really have a problem.

You'll be fine at TH10 now

I have decided to farm lavas until both heroes are at lvl 20. Hopefully I will get a core of lavas done and finish the rest of my barracks to max. (All mines and traps are fully maxed). Sounds like I cant go wrong either way so this will be a good compromise between going to th10 now or upgrading to full lavas.

You probably should have been doing heroes more while doing your walls.....

But I went to th10 on both accounts in September. One had 150 legos and 15/14 heroes and one had 75 skulls and 13/12 heroes.

I love th10. I have had plenty of time to level up heroes, max splash, IT, and tesla, and getting started on point defense.

And because I have no more pink building upgrades and lab takes 2 weeks, I have been dumping pink into walls.

Loot is fine at th10.....I have twice had to rush buildings in the last week because I hit max gold and have a raiding addiction.

Getting your racks maxed now is a great idea.
