Gems By Level

They give out enough gems to get all the builders, which is all you really need. You are not required to boost mines or barracks to progress. If you want to do that you could just buy gems.

I don't see a point in this

How is it greedy to sell gems to make money? They're a business. Businesses want to make money because the people working there want to make money. I want to make money. So do you. Selling a product isn't greedy. They don't have to give out any gems, but they do. You just sound like an entitled brat.

So right now I am level 75. It isn't too terribly hard to level up, but once I do, you're saying that I would get over 50+ Gems for such an easy task? No. That is a terrible idea. I myself think it's easy to get gems. From destroying obstacles, to completing achievements, you can easily get your 4th Builder by TH7.
