TH9 experimental war base (Help me name it) (testers needed)
Hi guys! I seldom go to the forums, but I made a new war base and I want you guys to help me decide if it's good or not. This base is pretty solid with 4 sectors, a central moat/ring surrounding the inner core. 4 sub-cores of air defenses and mortars are funneled to form the moat/ring. After four wars with my initial version, a gowiwipe attack executed well destroyed 89% of my base so I edited it to form the Version 2.0 with more emphasis on reducing the power of golem-based raids.

Core: The core is pretty unique, 2 sets of threes containing heros, x-bows, cc and an extra cannon. Why cannon? In air raids (lavaloonion, ballonion, mass drag) the clean up troops will be minions and heroes. While all defenses in the core are focused on the minions, the heroes (esp. aq) can easily destroy them one by one. The cannon, however, will provide support against ground targets and eliminates the heros.
Ring/Moat: The moat used to be 2 compartments of archer towers and 4 sub-cores of mortar and ad in Ver 1.0 (you'll see later). Now, it effectively distracts golems and pekkas from the core, even with jump spells as the defenses in the moat are way nearer compared to the core buildings. The wizards will then either be isolated or long gone to the execution grounds (covered later).
4 Sectors: It is the only spots where enemy troops can breach in from. Containing three defenses, the cannon and the archer tower contribute to the rapid destruction of troops that ventured into the moat. The wizard towers, on the other hand, provides support against loons/hogs that gets into the moat.
Execution grounds: The execution grounds are the depression outside the walls surrounding the mortar and the ad. Their main purpose is to draw out support troops from the sectors and lead clean-up troops to their "execution". Here's an example of troops getting sent to the execution grounds, on Version 1.0.

In the attack, a giwipe attack is supported with 23 wizards. The giants and pekkas demolishes the sector but leaves out an archer tower when they got lured by the archer queen inside the core. As the wizards destroys the archere tower, the tesla pops out and drags the wizards to their death. (The pic shows the wiz running out of sector)

The hog bombs did work. Only two hogs there survived for more than three seconds. This attack ended with a 29% and a most heroic defense on my side.
Attachment 87097
A dragoon attack (who uses lv4 loons) ends with the two surviving ADs cleaning the area around the th. The other two ADs are destroyed by the loons. The attacker gained 52% as the dragon on the east stayed out of the range of the ADs when clearing buildings.
I did not have any screenshots of the 89% gowiwipe attack as for some reason the data was gone and I lost all the replays in the war that day. But I know he used all lv6 troops and lv3 pekka and lv2 golems to break down a sector, jumped into the core and to another sector using a jump spell. The wiz and witches did get pulled to the execution grounds, but all the defenses are too busy dealing with the main force in the core. A sector was spared after the main force was eliminated, and the cannon ended the last wizard and witch.
Pros: Supposedly anti-gowipe/gowiwi, hog attacks ends on the two bombs, air defenses all are able to hit th but unreachable so this puts an end to air raids, very very symmetrical
Cons: Execution grounds may not work in Ver 2.0 due to the funnels, possible weakness to baloonion/lavaloonion?
This thread will be updated following more wars and tester's experiences. Thanks!
Ver 1.0
Attachment 87091
Changes from 1.0 to 2.0
- Funnel added to form moat
- Teslas shifted slightly more to the mortars
- Walls shifted to behind two wiz towers so troops have to detour
Anyone interested in becoming a tester pls pm me. Thanks!
