Remove the revenge - it's useless in practice
I was first going to write about how revenging should be made easier. Just lost 2400 dark elixir and revenge would be sweet, but the first problem is that I don't want to break my shield and the attacker had less than 10k in his de storage, so I wouldn't even be able to get my de back. I just need to accept the fact that this game is all about raiding and getting raided. Accept my loss and move on. I'll "revenge" someone else instead..
There are many threads in this forum where people complain how revenging is next to impossible due to the other player being online and then a minute later shielded. All the proposed remedies would cause major problems to the game dynamics, and most of them view the situation only from one side. If revenging would have some priority, you yourself would get revenged and loose all that hard earned resource. My argument in a nutshell is that because revenge is not possible in practice, it's useless and should be removed from the game all together.
I don't know hows the situation in trophy pushing leagues (master, champion), but I would guess that when not farming players are unshielded for longer and hence revenging becomes plausible. Is revenging something that people make use of in the top leagues?
Revenging has been from the launch of the game and much later the clan wars were introduced. I think clan wars is the place where you take attacks personally and take revenge and wage war to see who's who!
If abandoning revenge does not gain support, then I propose that the time of shield left should be indicated and the revenge button should also be active for only those that you can actually revenge. Clicking the button is too much to ask for.
