Seems like when you go on global or looking for clanmates all you ever come across is shield riders. We can be 10 days in the season & I see ppl all the time with barely 10 attacks. We talking lvl.70&up. Is the game on a decline or what. Whats the point in playing everyday if you never attack? Is Clash just turning into another form of a social app? Would like to hear your opinion on this.
Im tneing to agree.
i suppose people are now waiting for theor looot instead of going to get it. The games not in decline, i would say its on the up. I just think its changing.
i myself love the good attack
But the social side of clash is fun too. Like my clan (golden horizons- check us out) is mainly i think these people but its still fun
it just depends who u are

Yea - I get irritated when people in my clan register 15-20 attacks per season- not sure why.
Personally I have never touched global chat and from everything I have heard about it I don't ever plan to. The people with 100+ attacks per season (such as myself) are probably busy raiding rather than sitting in global.

Yeah, it is one of the fundamental flaws in the game. I just put my phone down while troops are cooking but I have to check it every 5 minutes so I don't get attacked. I wish the game would give a free 1 hour shield every time you made a raid so you could leave while your army cooked, but I know that would cause such outrage to suggest that I don't even bother. Instead I only play when I have at least a few hours to play in a row and just keep touching my screen every 5 minutes while my army cooks. Luckily I have a computer that doesn't decide to bore me with a 15 minute break each time I use it for 2 minutes the way this game does.Quote:

With the current shield System an average Player can only be attacked twice a day, which means 30 attacks per season, because shields are 12 hours. This also includes th snipes.
So if you have 300 attacks per season like me, there are 9 others that dont attack at all.
I think most Players would want to attack more often, but it is simply not possible. There are not more than 2 fresh bases day in the search Queue per Player. Those that next more often, will find more, but most Players do not want to next 50 times or more.
I think 100 raids a season is from a somewhat inactive player, lol.
Not everyone plays 2-20 hours a day like many CoC addicts do.
If I see people with 200+ wins I know that they most likely just barch, boost a lot, or simply have a full blown addiction. In my opinion any one who has these insane amounts of wins most likely have addictions they should be getting checked out. There is nothing amazing or special about spending dozens of hours a week on a mobile app game. Sadly, here on forums this behaviour seems to be applauded.
Yes, I know I'll get flamed and told that other's lives are none of my business... but it is the sad truth. Myself and my partners educations and backgrounds are in Social Anthropology and I have a lot of experience in the field of, "Social implications of the Internet" ... It's addiction plain and simple... and really, anyone who is sporting thousands of wins per season should not be put on a pedestal, they should be given an intervention instead.
Wins at lower leagues can be mostly TH sniping.... A player in silver/gold and lower crystal can have 15 or more wins in an hour just sniping TH.....
Players that win 100+ attacks per season are usually active players who don't boost much. Players that win several hundred attacks per season are usually active players that boost once or twice a day.
After finishing my legos, I've taken a break from boosting and working on walls. Previously I was winning over 400 attacks per season by boosting once or twice a day. This season I've only won about a hundred, with 4 days left in the season.
I thought I'd be relieved to be done with walls (not sure if I want to do lavas), but I'm almost bored because it feels like I barely need to raid to keep my builders busy. Maybe it'll help to work on my heroes.

But. I lose a lot. On purpose. I raid probably 15-35times a day. And I will purposely end a raid at 49% to keep my trophy count. I will goblin rush people just to get 75% of the loot and 30% and end the raid.

In 2 hours boosting I can do 24 attacks. This is not barching but simply building my giant/archer army and mixing in some valks which leads to 20 minutes. Not only barch is fast.
I dont think that having a hobby that you do 2 hours a day can be called an addiction.
Also I find it really interesting that if you play a mobile game for 10 hours a day you are addicted but if you are doing sports 10 hours a day you are a hero. Do you also tell a basketball player that trains very much to visit a psychologist? What about all the famous chess masters? Are they addicted too?
I'm on 145 atm, but yeah, I also lose a lot, so the real number is somewhere in the beginning of 200's.
I must also emphasize that the "nexting" has been dramatically reduced due to finding good loot very quick. Thus has fewer attacks secured same amounts.
You must not have read my original post clearly, or perhaps I didn't state it clearly. If that is the case I apologise. When I mentioned addiction I stated an "insane" amount of wins. I suppose if we had to put a number on this for numbers sake anything in the thousands would do.Quote:

And yes Jeeei, I have played a lot, but never an unhealthy (in my opinion for my lifestyle) amount like so many claim here on forums. Have I had my days where I spent 4-5 hours on CoC? Yes. Heck when I was a new TH8 I was bed stricken with an injury and played for 4-6 hours everyday that month. But, I have also been playing for well over 2 years so the casual play adds up with that.

I have 90, and that's super low for me. Several people in my clan are in the 200-300 range, but last season when we pushed we had some people making 500.
I used to have 550+ per season using BArch, no sniping . . . . not anymore!!

Thats the thing I dont boost - my army set up takes only 24 minutes to make & plus im saving gems for my 5th builder. 36 away btw. But I still manage at least a minimum 100 attacks per season. Even with me not playing as much as I used to.Quote:

The months of terrible loot cured my addiction. The game was becoming a grind, so I wound right back.
What I would love to see is Mastermind's Quests or something fresh. A new way to earn loot without having to grind.

One of my friend never attacks. Only attack he does is in clan wars (poor attacks) as he never gets practice with troops, compositions and techniques.
He works just like myself and my friends in the clan, but his shield is always blank every season. How does he upgrade? Just waits on collectors, mines and drills. V e e e r r r r y y y y s l o o o o o w w w.
I've been flat out raiding this season, worked up a gran total of 0.

I raid my butt off and Im anywhere around 200-300 per season. I've seen some people with ungodly attacks won and I'm just like how the fudge?
my friend jonas is a town hall 9 he maxed out his town hall 7 and then went to th8 and then to th9 right after because he didnt want to do the th8 he wanted the queen (which he only got like 6 months later)
but he is now a good okay town hall 9 with all level 7 walls, but he stays in bronze 3 silver 1 and just rely on his collectors
i ask him why he doesn't just go raid with barch at silver 1 or gold 3
he says that other people will take his loot if he does it so he just stays down there..
and i can't explain to him that he needs a farming base not a hybrid base..
I believe Brandon of SG Gladiators did over 20k attack won per season...one of best the farmer in the gameQuote:

Dude, i can get 100 in one day... but i have no life :D. Currently at 350 and there's still 12 or 11 days left in the season hah. If you are under th9 you should pull no less than 300 a season or you're wasting your time.
I see one thing about the game is that as much fun it is to attack, all the upgrades take forever.. U attack in one season and get your storages full... spend it all on three upgrades and have to wait until next week to do it again... what happens if you fill your storages the next day? half of China with their lvl6-7 troops and lvl20 heros are after your loot for the entire week... there is no way to protect yourself from a TH9er with maxed troops lurking in Silver I league as a new TH8 trying to build your new buildings and complete upgrades.....
I say the game has waves of fun... Sometimes makes you mad, at least makes me mad!!

I would normally be around 40-60 per season (TH8) but recently I have been incredibly busy with school (doing A-levels) and would rather spend time with friends than play clash. I log on 3 times every day and am still active both in terms of donations and clan wars.
How are people 'wasting their time' if they have fewer than 300 wins a season? Some people are casual farmers and some play for the social aspect. It isn't always about maxing as fast as possible...Quote:

it is a mobile game and i'm starting to get the grip on myself instead of letting the game getting the grip out of me...
