Zapping DE as a strategy....eh

First...don't care if you do or don't zap...I know there is a guide out for farming DE..just beware of who you zap. The answer is to get complete and total revenge in any way you can...I normally go full tilt on zapper just on principle... Just be patient and like a tiger....wait for your chance to pounce. The pics below are just one of many results of me getting zapped and then getting my revenge at the right time. Zappers gonna zap no matter what...so get the best revenge you can...and be ready for them when their shield runs out or they go offline for a few minutes...

When I was a really early TH 7 I did zap a few k of DE to get my BK. Damn, I got full-drag-revenged half of the time.

At most, they'll get what? maybe 1K if they are lucky if they drop 3 light on your max DE storage? Two max lvl DE drills at TH9 you are pulling in 4800 DE/day just sitting doing nothing.

The loss is negligible, and I would hope you would be able to 100% a TH8 with max hogs and lvl 15 heroes.

I guess there's the "teach them a lesson/pride factor" to revenge zappers, but meh....I don't really base my revenges on zaps, it's based on the amount of total loot available that I can get (and zappers never really get much).

On that note, looks like a decent haul from that revenge.

Its rare to get zappers who are similar level to you and horde that much loot. Mostly i get low level guys doingnit to me and when i can revenge them i do bam attacks on them to 3 star their base with least cost to me.

I do look at bases who TH snipe as some of them have a lot of loot and its fun taking all of that away lol

Late TH9 here, BARCH in Masters for league bonus and 4 lightning spells to zap those juicy 3000+ DE storages.

You could try getting revenge on my TH 9 when I zap you...good luck against full lava walls and heroes in their 20s.

Actually, I zap because I think I can save more elixir that way due to the time I have to wait to make spells. It forces me to focus on collector loots while barching, which gives me more efficient loot than raiding bases with storages.

I am a TH10 with a pretty good farming base. The fear of getting revenged has never gotten me :)

He was a th9 with both XBOWS....look at his attack. He used BK and AQ with zap.....last I checked th8 didn't get AQ

Barching for walls is why I am low...Legos almost done..., revenge is not cost based for me....it's about demolishing them, btw he is a th9 too...how did you not notice that......how is everyone missing that..must not be that high or you would have noticed he has an AQ..I usually won't bother with a th7 or 8 if they zap...my drills more than make up for it....but th9 and 10 yes..i will come after you. Zap away....give me a reason... And to the guy with the math...he didn't win...I took more from him than he did me...in the end he lost more than I did....blah blah blah...you used more de...blah...he doesn't have it anymore and I took more of his away than he got. Like I said...revenge is not cost based for me.

Every once in a while I check my defence logs to see who zapped me and see if they have anything worthwhile to get.

If they do I just send in my regular raiding troop to rob them blind and when I get what I need I quit. I'm farming so I'm just maintaining my trophy count.

As for the OP, there are players like him that feel that zappers should get rekt for zapping. IMHO he might have lost DE but he gained alot of gold and elix. At 9 with 2 DE drills at level 5, he payed for his hogs already by riding his shield. Resources that many on a relatively easy hog raid is not that common to see so it was a good revenge IMO.

The hall the attacker was is irrelevant; the league is. The rate of lessor skilled players in lower leagues is higher. As such the rate of lightning is higher.

If you farm around 2,000 cups or lower - expect to be zapped.

You're mad you got zapped. But here's the problem....you gave him a shield lol.

You missed out that the zapper lost 2,487 on revenge, so the zapper lost more at (2487-867) 1620.

I just looked at the crappy purple walls on the revenge pic and assumed TH8, lol.

Ok, so he was a TH9 with both xbows...meh. His base was still was pretty bad and he had no spaces for double bombs whatsoever so it was an easy clean with bacon and it showed.

Single giant bombs on the outside? ♥♥♥♥...guy obviously had never been hogged before (which is strange considering he was in Crystal).

And that's pretty much the gist of it right there, especially if you have lvl 9+ walls.

But if zappers bug you that much and you want to demolish them in return....go ahead I guess.

I would if the loot was decent, but not just on pride/principal alone. Loot is king for me. Zapping is whatever.

I'll gladly zap a max TH9/10 DE's storage if I'm raiding and I come across a full storage. I never have any loot anyway as it just gets dumped into walls or royals before I log.

Nice revenge, but not sure if you profited on DE. All those hogs...

Exactly.....why is a TH9 zapping? 2 de pumps...what is the use...he deserves to have this done to him as much as possible. The barch army I use costs less than the lightning spells and pulls more de....but hey...he zapped the wrong guy this time and paid for it. Maybe he might look over the base and reconsider who he zaps next time. BTW...I counted at the end of the raid...I only lost 8 hogs lol....he shouldn't have rushed. Still, zappers gonna zap

So you have never been so ticked at someone that attacked you that you wanted revenge no matter the cost? Revenge is fun, cost has nothing to do with it. People trophy push ignoring the cost all the time, no difference really.
As far as "amazing"....not amazing..just normal payback and the warning that this could happen to anyone that zaps. I still, even with the proper math, can not see zapping DE as a viable strategy for a TH9 or 10, unless you are totally maxed and have nothing better to spend elixir on at the time. Regardless of what the DE farming guide says..~90k elixir is not worth 400-1000 DE for me. I am going to look at the math in the guide again and compare it....I have time..lol

I could have chosen any other army to do this with...I just happened to have a hog army up when the revenge became available( a guy in my clan wanted to see a hog raid ), I would have love to have barched him....would have been the same results...just a lot less DE used. The point of the whole thing...just be wary of who you zap...payback will be coming. As I keep saying, zappers gonna zap no matter what, its the revenge that makes it all worth while....regardless of cost. Yes...I know I am farming C3 right now...walls need love and the loot is easy, get zapped once a day..don't really care....get it back with ease...let the TH7's and 8's zap me...they do not get much anyway...I make it back in one raid...I'm not farming DE right now anyway, I'm after Gold and Elixir for the walls.

I'm a max townhall 9 working on legos right now and I zap dark elixer storages all the time... Level 15 king and queen. I use BAM to farm with out spells. I keep lightning spells cooking to zap with when I see a full DE storage. I don't mind getting my storage zapped because it happens maybe once or twice a month, no one has successfully revenged me, I never have gold or elixer since all of it goes straight to walls and all my dark elixer goes to heroes and finishing off valks in the lab, the last troop I have left to max. I would rather convert elixer to dark elixer when ever I can. I hang around Crystal 3 when farming with bam and when I get bored I farm in masters with balloonion.

If you want an advice: stop thinking to what other people do and focus on what you do...

Revenge is a waste of resources for me. I would much rather use a cheap barch army to farm a base for 600k total resources. I zap with my spell factory boosted (x4 lvl5 lightening spells) and can earn on average between 3,000 - 4,000 extra de an hour using this method. This in additon to the de I earn by farming. So when I get zapped for say 1,500 it's not that big of a deal. I can earn anywhere between 10,000 to 20,000 de an hour boosted. I'll take every advantage I can get and I expect others to do the same. Running a trophy base decreases the likelyhood of one getting zapped because ppl don't want to zap without the easy snipe and trophies.

The 868 DE which was zapped by the other guy is considered to be sunk cost, therefore got nothing to do in the calculation of profit here.

He made a profit of 147 DE plus about 600K resource for the attack, which is pretty good. The cooking time is terribly long anyway.

Nice. Curious how much you raid vs. how much you zap. Can you post attack logs?

Why do you need to got that far for a revenge? That guy prolly enjoy his 16 hour shield. I will gladly take his DE using gibarch only

Sounds like OP is pretty unhappy. Using barch to farm de from de drills and zapping storages is the easiest and least time consuming than hogging a full base. 3 barch attacks for 1k de collectors plus the extra 2k to 4k de from zapping using a boosted spell fact gives me 5k de per hour. Enough to make a return and then some. Zapping is a perfectly valid strategy because there just isnt enough de to pass around if everyone is going lvl 40 heroes.

Good zappers will attack more than 2 people per day, which is how many can attack them with a 12 hour shield in between. They get more than is possible to revenge them for so they still make a profit and do not care if you revenge them (which you probably can't because so many others are also trying to)

I'm at 1400 trophies, got zapped by a th6 (WHAT? ) that guy is crystal now. I think he's zapping just to make people look at his base...
