Zapping DE as a strategy....eh

Yeah...I think it's a negligible probability...
If you want an advice: stop thinking to what other people do and focus on what you do...

Revenge is a waste of resources for me. I would much rather use a cheap barch army to farm a base for 600k total resources. I zap with my spell factory boosted (x4 lvl5 lightening spells) and can earn on average between 3,000 - 4,000 extra de an hour using this method. This in additon to the de I earn by farming. So when I get zapped for say 1,500 it's not that big of a deal. I can earn anywhere between 10,000 to 20,000 de an hour boosted. I'll take every advantage I can get and I expect others to do the same. Running a trophy base decreases the likelyhood of one getting zapped because ppl don't want to zap without the easy snipe and trophies.

The 868 DE which was zapped by the other guy is considered to be sunk cost, therefore got nothing to do in the calculation of profit here.

He made a profit of 147 DE plus about 600K resource for the attack, which is pretty good. The cooking time is terribly long anyway.

Nice. Curious how much you raid vs. how much you zap. Can you post attack logs?

Why do you need to got that far for a revenge? That guy prolly enjoy his 16 hour shield. I will gladly take his DE using gibarch only

Sounds like OP is pretty unhappy. Using barch to farm de from de drills and zapping storages is the easiest and least time consuming than hogging a full base. 3 barch attacks for 1k de collectors plus the extra 2k to 4k de from zapping using a boosted spell fact gives me 5k de per hour. Enough to make a return and then some. Zapping is a perfectly valid strategy because there just isnt enough de to pass around if everyone is going lvl 40 heroes.

Good zappers will attack more than 2 people per day, which is how many can attack them with a 12 hour shield in between. They get more than is possible to revenge them for so they still make a profit and do not care if you revenge them (which you probably can't because so many others are also trying to)
