dark elixir protection

i know that this thread has been made many times but I'm really feed up with barchers in clash of clans. it sucks that when you reach the 80K range for th9 people thunder your dark as soon as you get offline. i feel like the lightning spells need to be nerfed or not be allowed for a way to get dark. its a very difficult resource to get i spend 25 mins making a army just to get dark elixir thundered when i go offline for sec. players really need to learn how to break into bases and get the dark. im not given any option on how to protect my dark because it really takes no strategy to thunder dark please supercell fix this on going issue. 90% of the players who farm use this method to get dark have them learn the hard ways thank you:)

Question, is your TH outside your base? A huge majority of people would then zap your DE storage and then snipe your TH. That would leave you with a 12 hour shield rather than having your base zapped over and over again until you finally pick up a shield off of a 50% attack or so.

Lightning Spells shouldn't be nerfed against Dark Elixir, as they cost quite a bit of elixir and take 30 minutes to make. I know that having your storage zapped is very annoying, and I have experienced this myself. The fact that 90% of farmers use lightning spells to steal dark elixir is not true. But here are a few tips to try and preserve your DE from zappers:

- Put your TH on the outside so that you'll only get zapped once per 12 hours.
- Buy shields with gems so that you can't get attacked.
- Upgrade your DE storage so that it looks more empty and is more 'lightning-proof'

Those tips should be able to help preserve your Dark Elixir. If you choose not to use them, then you will just have to deal with your DE storage being zapped for the time being. Also, you shouldn't create a new thread about DE protection against Lightning Spells. You should instead go and support a different thread.

trust me dude i dont carry 50k dark elixir im a th9 an been here for a year my barb king is going to level 22 and queen level 27. i use giants to break defense to get the dark not some cheap shot. why when people see post like they get offended. when you reach my level of carrying 120k+ you will understand. dude i have my townhall outside and don't say 90% of farmers dont barch because if i show you my defense log and your go to there army camps thats all they use with 4 lighting spells that takes no skills. its a cheap shot every time you go offline. im very confident about my defense that they wont take it unless they use 4 spells such as rage and heals with there heros.

I really don't care how much Elixir people have spent when they tap their finger 5 times and take over a thousand DE. This is a strategy game, and I don't count tapping your finger 5 times to bypass all defences and steal the DE, when the other guy has done everything they can to protect it. Lightning spells were not intended to zap DE, and that is for a good reason.
People shouldn't have to spend their gems on shields to avoid skillful players practising their finger tapping prowess.

I can't help but laugh at these. I have always heard either spend it or lose it, and my fine friend you look as though you chose the lose it. Besides it is a strategy game, and yes before you ask i do zap de from people. It's easy and quick resources and yes i do get zapped back. Without zapping people would just use other ways as grabbing it. Stealing resources is the game to be honest and i know a bunch of people would honestly agree in it staying the same as it has.

I can't help but laugh if you expect him to spend his DE on something when he doesn't have enough for the upgrade, because people are using their finger tapping prowess on him. Without zapping, people would actually have a chance to keep their DE, which they earned by giving other people a chance to keep theirs. The game is meant to be about fun and skill, not about tapping your finger 5 times and ending up with a lot of the opponent's hard-earned loot.

thank you!! there a bunch of noobs who all they do it zap DE. and they are on this post and disagreeing. one day when they have to carry 120k dark to upgrade heroes they will be making this post. i just find it really unfair supercell that us th9/10 have hard time finding loot to just get zapped for 1,500 k de in one strike. the game has changed and it always changing over time i been playing since august of 2013. alot of player dont play thats why alot of people use barch and i dont blame them honestly easy loot from collectors not the same when i started people used giants to get to storages. btw buying a shield is not use to protect DE thats used to protect yourself in champion league when your on vacation. its wouldnt be wise to spend 100 gems every time dont you think?
