I think the cost will be 10-12 mil. Storage units will be upgradable to level 12, to allow th10 upgrade.
I also think th10 will bring new some sort of lava walls and possibly two new defense towers.
At last, the hog riders would never be allowed to ride near th10, otherwise it will be...BACON! ;)

Great update but I'm disappointed. The majority if the players are below TH 9 and for people like me that would rather have everything maxed, it would take me at least a couple of months to start using this new update.

I happily gemmed L6 archers as soon as it came out, but for TH10, I'm concerned as to the loot penalty vis-a-vis TH9.
It's unlikely that SC will release the specifics for the loot penalty, but I wonder as to the new wave of "Help! I premied TH10, what do I do?"
The new buildings, etc, that TH10 will be obvious... but how to avoid being a premie TH10?

-Very curious to see what comes with it. It is very hard to comment on the addition of TH 10 without knowing the new buildings/troops/spells/etc. that could come with it. Assuming there are some decent buffs that come with it, SC will have done fantastic.
-This implies a reworking of the loot multipliers and/or league system. A TH 10 would effectively lose the ability to profit off of TH 8 under the current system, so they would need to either reduce the penalites, raise the loot cap/percentages considerably, or make these leagues a MAJOR source of profits, at least in the higher leagues. Otherwise, it will be avoided like the plague except for those who have maxxed TH 9s (as opposed to maxxing being debatable). Please get this right SC.

As a TH8, I am so loving this. If the loot bonus from premature TH9s was not good enough, they release TH10. I'll always swim in gold and elixir now as I pwn these premature TH10s. Good job SC. :D

I think the new TH 10 looks fantastic but I'm more concerned with the extras it will bring with it, haven't caught up with the last 2 updates and now there will be more. As TH7 going to TH8, I feel that just when the goal posts are within sight, they have been moved very far away again.
I wouldn't be surprised if they added an additional army camp to TH9 or possibly TH8 and add an additional upgrade to army camps at TH10. This would make it closer to possible to beat TH10 players. I am pretty sure this WILL happen, which makes me pretty excited! =]

Maybe you should consider to stop trying to 'keep up' with new updates, Noxy. This game is designed to make it impossible to keep up entirely with new updates unless the player spends a large sum of money. However, the good news is: you don't HAVE to keep up with the new updates in order for the game to still be fun. I hope they introduce a way to acquire more gold. Maxing TH9 is already beyond most players in terms of time it would take (they will give up / get bored / move on to other things) - so unless they increase the amount a player can raid per day, maxing TH10 is something I will pass on to my grand kid's to do:

roflmao, that's right.... go premature TH10. I assume they'll give you another storage raising the cap to 10mil of each resources, then you find out the cheapest thing you can buy costs 8mil. Yup, you can't play any of the new toys until you spend even more money.
I am so loving this update because there are a ton more stupid players out there that we can all farm than smart players who realize this is totally a money making tactic by SC.
the only one small problem with that is if th10 will have an extra mortar (most likely) and some additional towers. I cannot possible see th7 gettign any loot from me, unless they use lighning spell on DE storage. Now, that woudl suck to lose 2-3k after each raid!Quote:

It's all according to plan for SC. It's impossible to get decent resources as a TH10 if you don't have high trophies and to get to the higher trophies and stay there, you will need to throw some money to the game. It's really a double edged sword to be a TH10 atm.
There's no way I'm going to update to TH10 in the forseeable future unless they do some significant changes to loot. Right now at TH9, my ideal target is a TH8 where I don't have to deal with xbows or horrible loot penalties. If I went ahead and jumped to TH10, I'd have to be farming bases where I'd be dealing with two xbows constantly. It's painful enough as it is to pass over 50k/50k TH7 bases knowing that if I was TH8, it would probably be around 180k/180k (I am a premature TH9, so I got a while to go to even get my TH9 sorted out).
The L6 archer upgrade takes 7.5 mil elixir, that was an increase of 300% over the L5 upgrade. Keeping with a similar theme, will the L7 take 22.5 million? If storage level 12 comes out and they double it up again like the prior upgrades, we'll be at a cap of 16 million, so it's likely a L7 archer would take 15 million, which is a 200% increase over L6, but still a 600% increase over L5.
TH9 was a huge jump in power from TH8 when you finish up your two xbows (brand new defensive structure and extremely powerful), L7 wizard towers (which you now have four of) and L7 mortars. All of these devastate farming armies which typically run around 60k-80k elixir. While people complain of having too much elixir, if you spend 200k elixir a fight to have a prayer at getting at their storages and can only steal 50k or 100k back, your going to have to be waiting on your 3000x6 per hour pumps to be able to fight again or do what the 3200+ trophy people do and whip out their credit card and gem.
So all in all, something needs to be done about loot. I personally would like to see league bonuses increased as well as new collector levels that actually give a substantial amount so more people would actually spend time upgrading collectors instead of leeching off everyone else who has spent time to upgrade them.
One things for sure....
The loot is going to suck for a couple days after this update.
I expect something along the lines of...
a 4th mortar
a 3rd xbox
2 cannons
an archer tower
50 walls
a new spell
upgrades for cannon, archer tower, xbow, laboratory, storages, walls and spell factory
something that has something to do with crabs.
a lot of people crying.
I would want:
significant increase in collector/mine production.

Yes new update is coming & yes its a major one (TH10), yes there'll be massive loot available as the update comes nearby & yes as soon as the update arrives the loot available will be zilch, so dont start 20 new threads threatning to leave cause no loot... patience...:p:p atleast for a week 10 days you will have very bad loot, this is standard...:cool:

Who cares if they increase the pump production? Everything will still take forever to build and with the increased collector production (if it gets implemented), you're just asking to get raided even more often.
Resources aren't exactly the biggest problem in this game but time. Also, SC is still not putting the additional builder times as priority#1 to be fixed.... Sorry for being such a negative Nancy all day but I truly believe SC has no plans for customer retention at this point and will continue to suck money off their top paying customers.
It is quite safe to say this is the biggest update in terms of impact in months. Probably even bigger than Dark Elixir troops. Will be very interesting to see how this shakes up the top of the leaderboards.

my predictions: town hall 10 will have new troops upgrades, none will take less than a month each. New defenses will takes months for each upgrade. The first year long upgrade will be introduced. Top players\gemmers with good jobs will still need to take out loans to max out their bases. Chino beer stops chasing the dream of maxed out base, and goes outside to discover a world full of sunshine and outdoor activities....
TH8 will be the new TH7!!
Imagine the loot bonus against TH10, surely it can only mean good news to TH8.
