I'm wondering if I should bother upgrading my goblins(L3) and Healer(L1). I'm about mid TH8 right now. I really don't like goblins and I'm not sure if I will have any user for healers past TH8. I have archers, barbs, wizard, balloons at 5, minions at 3, hogs 1, giants and wall breakers 4, pekka and golem 1.
Another question is, should I make upgrading my pekkas and golems a top priority? I use mass drag for wars right now and would like another good option. Thanks!!
I would say whatever you have and acquire more and faster, resource wise. Meaning if you can farm DE faster than elix, go for the golem. If you can farm lix faster, go for the PEKKAQuote:

The only way to make 60k de as a th8 is to try hard and yes I think you should do it. Pekka to 3 wasn't even hard even though it took all my elixir to do it. Farming troops is up to you which ones you use but you will need gowipe..
I would def upgrade the goblins for farming, personally I don't use healers never got along with them, so ive never upgraded them.Quote:

Goblins are OP, get them badboys upgraded!
I upgraded my goblins to lvl 5 but I have very rarely used them since then. I had used them for farming before but I just prefer barch now. As for healers, I didn't even bother upgrading them because they are worthless to me at this point.
So, I'd say only upgrade them if you definitely plan on using them. Otherwise, upgrade GoWiPe troops if you're looking for another war option. For TH8, GoWiPe and Drags are probably the two best war strategies, high-level hogs are good too though.
I upgraded my golems and pekka to level 2 mid-TH8 and had a lot of consistent success with GoWiPe in wars. I was getting sick of using all dragons and GoWiPe is a good strategy even at TH9 whereas dragons fall off quite a bit.
I'm a mid lvl TH10 and the very first troop I max'd was the goblins! By far the best farming (main target loot) troop! My healer is still lvl3 and haven't used in 60+ levels...
Obviously archers, Giants, wb's, hogs, minions, wiz in my opinion and I'm a farmer at heart.
I never used goblins until th8 and once I got them to level 5 they were very good and have helped me farm more loot faster so I would definantly upgrade them.
As for healers you will want them if you ever join a low level war clan or once you are th9. th9 lvl 6 giants and a few good level healers are amazing for farming.
But hey, that's just how I feel about troop upgrades. It's really up to you and your personal prefference.
Hmm, maybe i'll give goblins another shot. Just never been impressed with them in the past. I used healers a lot at TH6 and some of 7, but at th8+, so many air defenses/bombs, just seems like a major pain. I could see how L6+ giants with a healer would be real nice though.
