There's something about Valkyrie

Can I begin by saying I really like the concept of the Valkryie, she is like an upwardly mobile giant! But what is it about her that puts so many of us off? I realise this has probably been discussed before but I would like to ask the community....

Which is the best way to use her if you do?

Can she be used for farming?

What puts you off about her if you don't use her?

Do you think the cost and time should be reduced further?

What have your raiding experiences been like with the Valkyrie?

Personally I think she gets ahead of herself a bit, my raiding with the Valkyrie has been that she will race ahead of any meat shield and get diverted by walls. I was thinking maybe using jump and heal spells but is this a viable way to farm? Valks with spells required everytime, and spending lots of de? Is she an end game troop when you don't need resources?

I, like so many others have not upgraded the Valk in preference to other troops, to all you would be valkers, what's the best way to use a Valk?

Thanks for reading, TLDR I want to use the valk for consistent raiding but don't see how she is viable, need the communities experiences for help.

i found that even max valk from th8 didn't quite cut it throught the base i raided while at end stage of th8... now that i'm th9, and still lvl2 (priority on farming and war troops) they don't cut it at all against the base i raid... so i'll have to wait til they get better... (they are my next research tho...

but i found out that (at th8) with lvl2.. they could help with the cost of barching (which is still not so a biggie) and speed a little the army cooking times.. (but still minions are better cheap and faster regarding housing/cooking times)

but they did add a great power to my barch.. that was the one thing i found for farming (but it cost too much de for.. not that much reward)

and then there is that combo with my war army (2golem, 2pekka, 2 witch, 2valk, 2giants, rest wiz and wb)

but then, the lvl2 doesn't cut it with the base i attack.. so i'll have to see once they reach lvl4 (will still try them with their lvl3 in 2 weeks)

I have L4 Valks but barely used them in wars.. I usually make 4 of them and throw them in the Barch composition when i farm/push, to add some DPS, but overall, i honestly wasn't that happy to spend my time and effort to get them maxed out... Could have used my DE to upgrade my Queen to L25 :(

The cost is ok, the only thing i would reduce is the training time, from 8 to 6 min.

Housing space is good enough

I usually use 2 golems, 14 valks, 13 wiz and 8 wallbreakers...then take another golem, 1 wiz and 1 barb in my CC (35 housing cc)...never used them for farming but I use them a lot in CW and this is my ONLY army that I use for trophy pushing...managed to reach 4040 trophies by using them

I love valks too! I started using valks in war at the end of TH8 and I plan on pushing with them. I don't think the cost should be reduced. My raiding experiences with her have been great! I don't have to worry about luring the cc troops first, she is a great tank for wiz and witches, and I usually 3 star. My comp at 200 camp space was 2 golems, 10 valks, 8 wbs, rest wiz and I would take all wiz in cc. Spells: 3 heals. My comp at 220 space is the same but I add an extra valk or wiz and take 1 rage spell with 3 heals if the walls are higher level.

I don't use her in farming, she really needs certain base layouts to perform effectively. I've use her in war in GoViz comps, pretty reliable 2 star. Potential for 3 is there, but well placed spring traps can really ruin an otherwise good attack using valks.

Which is the best way to use her if you do?

I find the best use is along with jump. Clear a path to the core an blitz it. Heal is also excellent with her

Yes, but pricy on DE

What puts you off about her if you don't use her?

Time no, cost probally. At least the jump in cost per level

What have your raiding experiences been like with the Valkyrie?

Been to champs twice. Use her in almost every war. I think she kicks butt :)



Try the Valkyrie tornado to storage farm. Fun combo

Some great advice on the replies, thankyou for sharing. Seems like some people have had great success in war and trophy pushing with the Valkyrie and some have experimented on the farming aspect.

The Valkyrie tornado sounds interesting, I will try and find out more about it, I will def upgrade her eventually and mixing her with barch might help me to get used to her AI a bit better so I will try that too.

interesting read. Can someone chime in and say what types of bases are best/worst for valk attacks?

I have maxed golem/wiz and valks and I would love to use her for more than eliminating CC

Funny thing to do wih valks. Put a level3+ valk in a little clashers cc and laugh at the replays. She runs out does a 3/4 spit and there's nothing except headstones left at her feet.

On a serious note last week the clan leader and I were attacked by gowiwi with 6 valks. Our leader has upgraded valks so she stole his Attack and did two 3 star attacks with it. She had to use 20 spaces less, I think she used 4 valks and one less wizard
