The real reason the update is bad and what they changed in matchmaking!

The real reason everyone thinks that the loot is gone is because they changed their matchmaking thing. I'm not sure how many people know this but ill say anyway. ITS BECAUSE THEY TOOK OUT ALL THE VILLAGES WHERE THE OWNERS HADNT BEEN ON IN A WHILE! You used to be able to raid at any score level because lots of people who hadn't played in a while and 100-200k easy unprotected gold and elixir that you could get. After the update there are none of them left. There are a couple of people that are low level that have collected gold but everyone who hasn't been on in a while village is GONE. Thats where i got my loot before the update i could easily get 1 million in half an hour raiding those guys but now it takes me like 4 hrs to get 1 million. Just add those villages back in and don't tell me that they are still there i tried 50 score, 1100 score and a coupld in between (300,500, 800, and 900) THERE ALL GONE!

What makes you believe this to be the case? It sounds logical and a possibilty but do you have anything other than a sense of this?

Not gone but shielded or depleted.

Yes I would say the same as thread starter ... but they did that in completely other way!

SC did not just delete unactive players ... they do not monitor that.
What they did was this ... they knew that inactive players on long run loose trophies ... eventually, people that quit will on long run come to 0 trophies.

Thats why farming was best at 0-9 trophies range :)

Now they did not delete those players, they just made that you can not get matched with them anymore - since you will not loose trophies under 30-50 lvl anymore :)

i meant that they just got rid of them from the attackable list and no they didnt have 0 score i was at 300-500 and always found them with in 10 next lcicks

Um, not so much. People that quit are given trophies, since we farmers generally stop by 40% and do not take the town hall out, since we do not want to get trophies.

as ive mentioned in other threadz...
the reason, I believe, that resources were so low is becuz of the new update. Most ppl had to take a day or two to find their appropriate 'natural' trophy level where they were strong enuff to defend and attack. A lot were too high for their bases/troop strength so there was a normal adjustment period.

Once ppl settle back into their game they will start saving up again for big upgrades, hence more resources like the post-update dayz. Itz already gotten noticibly better and getting more so every day.

they can clean up all the 'left for dead' campz and occassional userz they want, itz not going to limit the rest of us who are back to saving up from coming up on ur match list. :)

They won't clean anything up for several reasons:

1. Data space is very cheap.

2. There is no minimum play frequency requirement - if I stay away for six weeks, I expect my town to be there when I come back - and so does everyone else.

3. It would serve no purpose. Keeping this extra stream of resources keeps some people playing longer than they would otherwise, and the longer one plays, the greater the chance that one will purchase gems.

So people are complaing about the matchmaking system because they are now being paired up with players closer to their trophy level? If your losing trophies and rank then someone else is gaining rank. Simple as that.

Thats it.There used to be so many villages who had a lot of resources in their mines , not even storages.But now there is just no one around , I haven't seen a single one of them since last patch.I think they were so scared to tell it in patch notes.There is only one purpose , earning more money.Endless greed is gonna make this game suffer more than it is right now.

What a bunch of little girls. Adapt or die I say.

This game is much better now because you have to work hard for your trophies, not just find some easy beat and gain 3-8 per match. You have to earn your 1500+ trophies. And that I think is why people complain so much, because they're not good enough yet to be at that range, so they find these "reasons" why it's unfair.

Sure resources are a little harder to come by, but I think that's because tougher opponents generally have less cash because they're spending it all upgrading and becoming stronger.

Pretty much.

As mentioned above the natural balance will find itself, personally I would focus on your respective ranges and possible battles.
As an example I don't worry about top five guys and how I'm going to raid them or dropping to zero and raiding possible non active players.

I play what's in front of me and not worry about what wont effect me.

Whatever it is that they have done has it made matchmaking better? I would argue that the answer is no.

Last Sunday I played for about three hours and looted about 1.6 million in gold and a sizeable amount of elixir as well. Now if I play for three hours I am lucky if I get two or three hundred thousand. I could live with that if it wasn't all swiped as soon as I put down my ipad. However that sort of drop is not going to please the bigger players who spent large sums of money to upgrade quickly.

Clearly the mismatch problem has not been fixed. I boosted my trophy count from around the 300 mark to around the 500 mark. Yet I still get offered village after village with 35 or fewer trophies belonging to beginners, that have nothing to loot.

All I can really comment on is what has happened to me. There's plenty of grumble among all the teams about what all has changed and what all didn't need to change.

When I attack now I seem to get slapped down hard and not allowed to outsmart the opponents set of defenses before being cut down. Attacking is that much more behind defending that it is being overshadowed.

That being said my defense is just giving up trophies and resources like it wasn't a big deal.

Oh well. Still a great waste of time!
