Are loons and minions at th8 a viable raiding option for clan wars? I understand there is mass drags I just think its kind of a boring attack.
Loons are absolutely viable at TH8 - as long as your Minions are max for TH8 and of course Balloons are lv 5.
Unlike Dragons though they do require you to be more careful using them. In the right hands they will always do better than Dragons. I'm no Balloon expert but carefully placing them to minimise travel time to defenses is the way to go. Don't just spam them in one spot or they will group up and get torn up by Wizards Towers/Red Air Bombs.
