The game very much needs new troops for mid level players. The higher troop levels and the lava hounds are great but only help the elite crowd that has maxed their bases out. How about a hell hound that would be a very cheap DE troop to jump walls and attack. Why not make an offensive artillery type unit as well with defensive units to counter. Something simuliar to the old age of empires catipults. Clan wars changed the game completly but it's time to shake it up again.
Mid level players already have things to upgrade. New troops are added at high levels for a reason, being that there are no more troops to unlock.
Thus giving the stronger players even more strong troops that are out of our reach to use against us. Introducing newer troops at lower levels would make things more interesting for all players
Newer players already have things to keep them interested. The meta is also completely different at the top, so introducing a troop that people who cannot unlock any more troops can use while still making those troops not overpowered at lower levels is very difficult. Imagine giving a new troop like a barb to people with maxed bases, or lava hounds to lower level players.Quote:

You have to think about how that would affect the meta of the game. TH7 dragon attacks are already a guaranteed three star, Supercell, who understand the game meta more than both of us put together, made them available at TH10 for a reason: because air attacks THERE needed a buff, not at TH7.Quote:

At th7, yes the lava hound would be to over powering. By townhall 8 though with level 5 or higher air defenses dragon attacks become much more complicated and the newer faster archer towers just complicate things further. By this point the lava hound could be needed. I don't want new troops from the start, just around mid level. By that point the troops left to unlock are still a long ways off if you are attempting to max out your base before upgrading your townhall. At this point, introducing a new troop would be nice. I'd like to see an introduction of a goal specific troop much like the hog rider so I could create more complex armies for specifics bases in war.
The faster archer towers don't affect dragon attacks at all, their arrows deal half damage, so the changed mainly affect small troops. And you've decided not to reply to anything I said regarding the balance of the game, and how you suggest implementing a troop at mid level that both improve the meta there and at the top. The key to starting a helpful thread in this forum isn't saying 'This idea seems nice, let's put it in', it's 'This idea seems nice, but what will it do to the balance of the game?'Quote:

Adding a troop can easily throw off the balance of the game. Hounds aren't overpowered. Before hounds, no one used air armies at high levels. Now, it's the most popular strategy. That's just one example.Quote:

There is a reason SC are adding troops to higher levels only. I'm trying to explain that reason to you. If SC have a reason for doing something, like the one I've just explained, it's usually a good one. They know more about how your idea would disturb the balance of the game than both of us put together, and so they add more troops at higher THs only,
