punishment for leaving the clan

There are many members who enter a clan and do not last long, they are not disciplined in the game, the idea is to leave the clan, will penalize output deducting an amount of gold or elixir to the player and this is shared between the clan members, or that there is an option to request the clan leader his expulsion.

They just lost their chance to be in your clan. Is that not penalty enough?

Absolutely not.
There's no need to punish someone because they want to visit another friend's clan or another clan in the family.

There's nothing wrong with leaving a clan. There is something wrong with abandoning them and leaving them at a disadvantage during a war.

And if they haven't been in the clan long enough to show their loyalty they should be excluded from wars so that doesn't happen. We never allow a person to join in the first few wars for that very reason.

Unless we kick new members when we start a war (which means kicking all new members every three days) we can't control whether the new members join wars.

Yes, that is why a leader wants to be careful who they take into war. If you make any new guys wait through even one full war before going into the next you eliminate spies 100% and war hoppers about 80%

There are guys that will not stay through that first war, but that's the point. You don't want those guys.

Correct. So you tell them what you are doing and why and to watch for the invite and then kick them while you start it. As soon as you get your opponent you give invites to everyone you kicked. The guys that do come back are much more solid to trust in next war. The guys that won't stand for that and just keep on going are not guys you want.

This is a horrible idea and you will hate the consequence even more if it were to come true. You need to remember who you are complaining about in the first place. I assume it is not the hoppers that do it for all of the reasons that free movement between clans is possible. That leaves us with people of low moral fiber who's intentions are lecherous. Lets say you get your suggestion and now that person is in your clan. SUCCESS!!! They can't leave without a penalty! Congratulations. Now you have somebody in your clan who you don't like. What does he do now? Well, since they were already planning on dragging your clan down it probably won't bother them much to stuff your castles full of goblins, turn your clan chat into an even more offensive form of global, slander you in global chat and maybe the forums here, and generally be as disruptive as possible until you kick them out with no penalty. I hardly see how this is a better situation than them leaving.

The important question here is, why would you want to force somebody to stay in your clan that you don't like or want to be there? Learn to spot them first and boot them as quickly as possible. The rest of your clan will appreciate it.

It's a shame that leave people with little mercy reasoning and creativity say no to such a good proposal, I'm not saying that punishment in full, also may be expelled without being punished. If not welcomed the idea, what a pity.
