Pushed to 2652 trophies as a TH8
just boosted mines and collectors because im more casual player and i was on vacation out doing stuff
Most of my gems (90%) are spent to boost mines/collectors/drills.
2nd was to boost 1-2x barracks and continuously attack non-stop barch. No life.
3rd was boost spell factory.
4th was boost BK, but this was just a while, after that it sleeps non-stop upgrading.
I don't buy gems, just use the gems collected from trees/gem box. So I use it sparingly.
Went for Barb King Level 3...
I had to gem a lot of time off my upgrades during the boosts cause I was always full on recources. I manged to finish my wizzard towers, air defence and mortars as well as get my king to level 25. That was a great Christmas present thankyou supercell :)
I have had sleeping heroes since June, and busy builders 24/7 since i started. I had to take advantage of 1 gem boost and gemmed my heroes so i could use them constantly. I NEEDED to keep a builder free because i averaged 6-10 zap walls daily. No way i could have time managed dumping between upgrades without wasting resources.
AFK for first week. then farmed 100m each in gold and elixir.
I was a fairly recent TH9 upgrade (had upgraded a week or so before the update with lv12 collectors came out, in fact was waiting on my TH9 upgrades to finish so I could upgrade my collectors).
I managed to get enough gold to upgrade both of my still shiny x-bows to lv2, and to upgrade all of my mortars to lv7. I also did some wall upgrades (not ashamed to admit that I'm a bit behind on those, but the boosts helped get everything to the same level at least). The loot has been so easy to come by since the boosts stopped that I've managed to keep enough gold on hand for most of my major upgrades (wizard towers next, mingled in with some archer towers). Suffice it to say: none of my five builders has been idle in over a month.
