Anybody use this strategy as a TH8, and what kind of success have you had against high end TH8 bases (war)?
I don't know anything about GoVaPe, but I made a thread about WiVaPe a while back.

WiVaPe is more effective than GoVaPe because the Valkaries act as mini tanks, replacing the Golems and acting as damage dealers.
Yeah one of my clanmates 3 starred a max th8 with WiVaPe the other day. It seems like a good army comp.
reason 1: no archer queen, no range troops, dragon, minion, loons in cc, will screw you
reason 2: similar to reason 1, no range troops, because no archer queen and little to no wizards, nothing to pick up any % and even though you'll get the TH you'll always 1 star
my proof of reason 2? I sliced open a max TH9 and got a 35% 1 star, tried it out a few more times, som decent results but it's still not as good as gowipe or gowiva, not even close, if you wanna see valk comps used properly, see my thread: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...-comp-gowivape
I'm a TH8 don't worry all those results are using my TH8 things, with the exception in war where I use my clan castle to be safe, gowiva is the strongest TH8 army comp hands down, gowivape is a close second, and gowipe is a far behind third, dragons would be 4th after hogs neck and neck, I still have more reliable TH8 3 stars with hogs vs dragons, considering all my TH8 troops are maxed
I used gowivape a few times, but personally dragons and gowipes worked better. Gowiva fails immediately with a dragon cc.
Well if there are some air troops in cc then just lure them out and take them out with wizards. And if the cc is too centralized just don't attack it. Find an easier base. If you have some wizards in your clan castle along with the ones you brought along you should be good.
I'm gonna throw a YT vid up on how to deal with cc troops very soon, be it witches, loons, wiz, drags, you don't need to go through trouble with any of them, also if gowiva fails due to drag in cc wouldn't that apply to gowipe too? except the pekkas can't outrun the drag like valks so they take it harder, just questioning your reason for saying this, I don't understand why gowiva specifically would have trouble with drags :confused:Quote:

i alwaye use GoVaPe in wars.. and this is a real cool strategy for th8.
