Or u can manage your walls upgrades better as you are upgrading. For example use most of the gold for wall upgrades and when they are to your liking you can then fully focus on the non wall gold upgrades.
It was only very recently that we were not even able to use elixir for walls.
There's no elixir for your walls, thank goodness the clash ecominy is like that.
We need elixir in the clash game and it is now.
I cannot wait until TH11 comes out so that the flaw in the way elixir for walls is currently being done becomes even more apparent.
I am just going to get to the point here. Everyone who is past level 7 walls hates the idea of using elixir also to upgrade walls. This is because they think they are getting cheāted on. So the way most of you say to fix this HUGE problem is to not let anyone be allowed to use elixir for walls and the rest of you say that using elixir is the way to do it. What Supercell should do is make it at some point, maybe at a certain level, town hall, wall level, or anything they want, you unlock that and it stays with you. It would be hard to get but then even the guys at town hall 9-10 will be able to get most walls maxed. Right now it takes 4,000,000 gold to get ONE level 11 wall! That's insane! The amount of time that take to get maxed walls or even close to all maxed will be massive. So allowing players to unlock this feature then you have a chance at getting good walls. Also if you have taken the time to read all the way down here Supercell sould also make it so people can turn off the feature to allow you to use elixir on walls if they think its lame. Thanks for reading this and I hope Supercell will do this and stop this argument.
Unless you have not been able to articulate someother meaning then SC have set a limit of th9 and above being able to use elixir for walls as only th9 plus can get level 9 walls and above!
Plus whats the point on giving a choice of an extra option of letting people use elixir anyway because its much simpler to just leave it onnfor both seeing as the decision is still going to be between the 2 anyway? For eg. Normally there would be both options when you tap on wall to use either gold or elixir and you choose. 2nd way you are suggesting is to have a button thus making it gold upgrade not enough, oh let me disable the elixir limit and use elixir, as you can see the end is the same but with an extra button. No one will keep extra elixir and the button will be on all the time.
- Allow it for every wall level.
- Require that the person using it must maintain a minimum of the lootable max in elixir for their TH level in order to use elixir on a wall upgrade.
Examples:
TH10 - must hold 4,000,000 in elixir after wall upgrade (so 8,000,000 to upgrade a lvl 10 wall)
TH9 - must hold 2,916,667 in elixir after wall upgrade (so 3,916,667 to upgrade a lvl 8 wall, 5,616,667 to upgrade a lvl 9 wall)
TH8 - must hold 2,142,857 in elixir after wall upgrade (so 2,642,857 to upgrade a lvl 7 wall)
(I can do this all the way down to TH1)
Problem. Solved.
Almost everyone of you has missed the point of his idea...
The most that can be taken from storage is a fixed amount. You can't take more from a TH8 who's storage is completely full than you can from a TH8 who's storage is half full (provided his storage is max level). If his idea were in place, then the amount you can raid from his storage doesn't change.
His idea in recap: if elixir in storage below is below a certain amount then the upgrade walls with elixir will be greyed out. Once elixir in storage goes above a set amount then elixir can be used to upgrade a wall but if by doing so it dips below that amount the ability is greyed out again.
Town Hall Level % Available to be Stolen Cap Storage Amount to Reach Cap 1-5 20% 200,000 1,000,000 6 18% 200,000 1,111,111 7 16% 250,000 1,562,500 8 14% 300,000 2,142,857 9 12% 350,000 2,916,667 10 10% 400,000 4,000,000
so a level 7 wall takes 500k to upgrade to level 8, so set the min storage amount to 2.7 million. If it's above that then allow him to use elixir to upgrade, this will reduce him to 2.2 mil which is still above the cap. He then has to build his elixir above 2.7 mil again before he can upgrade another wall.
The TH8 can use elixir for walls to prevent it from going to waste but can still be raided for the max allowable. It's win win compromise.
but...lol...this is how the game was do you guys remember life before elixir walls at all?
