You can get around 3.5-4mil gold a week from maxed mines. Which is 20 raids worth, probably less.
My 3 lvl6 drills give me 7200 DE every 24 hours...so I would say they are pretty damn useful.

First off thank you to everyone who has responded to the thread. After taking a look at some of your responses I will consider purchasing the 2nd DE drill and upgrading them.

Can we get this question added to the dumbest questions section of the forum? I mean I was hoping the title was a joke or something but hes serious...at th 8 your not using nearly as much de as you do at th 10....and when you have 3 drills and all maxed they add a ton. Why would you not want the free de to take pressure off always farming for it...wait til ya got 150k to upgrade your king or queen, u will see their value
