Mano-a-Mano Daddy v Junliang

So there I was an hour ago out on my tractor .. Next .. Next .. Next ... Oooh that's' an interesting base, then the realisation dawned just who's base it is. I had come across the legendary Juniliang on my fight queue.

So...I had my normal farming army 8 wb 8 giants 50ish archers the rest goblins a jump spell and a rage spell (I think)

What would you do at this point, quietly tap Next, no one would know you saw him, you would just go on your merry way milking the cows. Or you could attack one of the best designed bases in the game owned by me of the most respected farmers in the game.

But this is a game right, public humiliation in front of 30,000 people when it ends up on the forums is nothing compared with that feeling if I had pressed Next that i would never know if I am a half decent farmer.

OK, with that setup Daddy mentioned and two spells against a TH8 base (no idea what Jun's base looks like), I'll be the first to hazard a guess, haha... (and no, I haven't spoken to either):

1 star, based on 50% damage, no TH taken, most to all available loot taken.. I'll call it a 270k total loot raid (no idea how much loot Jun has out). So, 270k total loot, 1 star, no TH taken. Ahem, that's my guess from afar.

Lol, Daddy, if it's less than that, expect some teasing... :)

I didn't even see how much DE he has stored. Let me know if you need some tips lol

Btw, based on my battle log, I've done more damage to others with my lvl5 troops than what people do against my base with level 6. There is for sure a lil boost, but it's now what but how you use it!

Best part of revenge - enough time to plan it!

Yeah we are both farmers - it's more about the res than the stars, getting two against both would be easy with the TH outside and loads of buildings out of reach of the defences

It's actually a wierd feeling and i'd imagine for both of us.

I didn't do great but there was something I was happy with, and I know i'm going to get a mixed reaction but what the hell

Juni is going to be under a lot of pressure as he can prepare a strategy.

To his credit he is TH 8 I am TH9 with twin bows, I did offer him to hit me with more than a farming army to make up for the bows but he asked to attack me with his lvl 5 troops. THAT I have respect for.

The three star thing was a joke xD I forget that people don't know me here haha

So yeah, daddy's raid was just so "coincidental" haha.

Ok so that wasn't terrible just average I guess.

Mistakes I made:

The line of goblins was a mistake - i thought i'd selected archers. The cc Drag totally took me by surprise I should have checked I guess or the strategy would have been slightly different.

I was trying to trigger mines/traps with the archers. The problem is Juni's base is round so the straight line which we see 99% of the time threw me off big time hence I didn't do that job well and 2-3 giants went flying.

To be honest I knew the base is as close to perfect as it could be in terms of layout, I would have tapped next if it wern't a well known farmer. The only upside would be the DE which I was happy with.

I was happy that I used the jump spell I am a big fan of that, it's got me from the edge of total failure to a decent result so many times it's like a swiss army knife I can't recommend it more highly.

Anyway thanks Juni for your good humour and for spending the time on this, I won't sleep tonight wondering how the revenge got on.

And again TH8 vs TH9 with all the advantages NO-ONE will mind if you throw in a few drags or pekkas there mate.

:) Its okay, people makes mistakes from time to time, especially such impromptu raids haha !
I can imagine if its like I'm eating my lunch + coc when I suddenly saw a familiar base, I will panic and everything will go hay wire haha :)

Just glad I can record it down for you to view it too :)

No worries regarding the record + editing, I do that for most of my defense as well, except for your case, I'm 100% going to revenge you, so I analyzed your base even deeper than usual.

Haha no worries, I'm going to bed too, gonna plan out a detailed attack strategy before I execute the raid.

I mean, my sub is nearing 1,000 subs now, maybe if its awesome enough, I can use it as my special 1,000 sub vid :p

P.S. the real reason why I don't wanna use drag/pekka is because I do not have as much experience with using them as compared to my farming army.

Besides, against super strong defense.. having Lesser troops, aka having troops with more housing space, is actually worse off in some sense.

Don't worry haha, I will apply everything I've learn in offense up till now and use it on your base ^.^

Btw, you might want to add the video to your first post of this thread, so its easier for people to find.

And if you need the raw video of the defense without editing, just pm me, I have the raw footage without editing if you need for your channel :)

Junliang, I suggest using Rage spell if you are going to revenge Daddy. You definitely need to speed things up when going up against a strong TH9er with lvl 5 troops. I would use all three for the fun of it.

And threads like these are the reason supercell needs to introduce friend v friend wars!

Just couple things, this meerkat doesn't know how to keep secrets. Make sure you let us see daddy's lev7 teslas in action eh, he said they were sleeping for so long.

Lev7 splash can 1 hit-kill lev 5 gobs/arch, so don't use a heal spell. You'll need a lightening spell, unless you got a better idea how to take out his cc... You'll be fightig minimoe's archers!!!

Oh and, don't plan on taking all the gold storages, they are well spread, just get a target, aim for it, and get it.

Jun,

you can try a combination of giants, pekka and wizards on rage and heal. Carry a light for castle. use meat and wb to get castle out, burn with light.

Whom am I telling, you will shine, I remember you getting a good hit earlier against high lvl th9 on revenge in similar series (can't remember but you used wizards effectively)

Juni declined my offer to lower my defences - it's not a fair battle with lvl 5 troops against lvl 7 mortars/Wiz and two maxxed x-bows be he did VERY well considering that.

it certanly isnt. i regret going to TH8, but hey, what can i do? lol. im maxing out this base 100% before going to TH9, no doubt about that. even the grass will be lv11, lava tiles.

I have been playing for months and the closest I have come to is running into copies of known bases. I would love to know what the odds of Daddy getting Jun's base in his queue. Thank you my friend - that spell has got me out of so many scrapes in the past, without it my gobs would have been dust there. But I found taking it to lvl 2 was a mistake as it put the price up and I really only use it for goblin rushes
