I make a lot of dragons n becoz of tht my elixir quantity is always low , n my gold quanty is always very high ... So if there was an option for making troops using gold it would be good. Like in the info button of troops in barracks u can get an option of creating using gold or elixir....... At least after town hall lvl 7.
Okay then, after this lets make the TH upgradable with elixir.
gold is especially used for upgrading your buildings, walls, th, and more
using gold to TRAIN troops? don't think that's a good idea when it's used for upgrading other stuff.
+ elixer is used for training troops, making spells and other stuff so it's kinda for attack only.
And after that, let's pay food to McDonald's for money....Oh look, economy destroyed. See, that is what would happen if we implemented the OP's idea, we'd spend too much gold...Quote:

When I first started clash about 15 months back I read a post from SEE which basically said that elixir was for attacking and gold was for defending... Elixir gets spent on troops, barracks, camps, spells, troop upgrades. Gold gets spent on defence stuff, tower upgrades, etc. There are exceptions that don't fit with that (nexting costs; rearming xbows and infernos) but that's the basic idea. So I doubt you'll be getting gold troop costs.
So lets get rid of gold and elixir and have just one currency? That's basically what you're saying.
