TH9 is a joke compared to TH10 defense

1.) If you have 4 non rushed th10s in your clan they should be able to take out the first 8 enemies with 2 stars each, if they are rushed.

2.) Infernos give a big boost to your defense strength, but also a big boost to your cw defense ranking. Infernos are more than 100K loot each more. Most rushed th10 are paired with maxed th9s.

3.) Most rushed th10s suck at attacking or at least are not stronger than th9s, so they will not make many stars on your th10s.

4.) The biggest problem are Infernos on Multi, because they will eat for wizards very fast and you can use Golems as a shield, but many rushed th10 have weaker air defense. I had success getting 2 stars with a lavahound/Dragon Combo. You can also mix in some loons lvl6 to increase the Speed of the first push (dont use loons in cc, you have to set them in a row). Use 4 rage spells and you will get the th and 50% is most cases if you do it correctly.
Another option is using Gowipe with more pekkas and jump spell.

For Infernos on single simply use giant+wizard and attack the th with the Infernos as directly as possible.

Easy to 2 star any maxed TH10 as a TH9 :rolleyes: Got to love the tall tales on the forum.

TH8 defenses are a joke compared to TH9 defenses, it is how the game works. Either upgrade or accept your defenses are rubbish compared to the TH above you.

I'd very much like to see the TH9 2 star on a max TH10 (no ♥♥♥♥ designs). I don't hang out in good war clans so I never have witnessed that....

It's just funny because it's IMPOSSIBLE to win those kind of wars. I'm a TH9 with traps and 5 defenses left (2 ats and 3 cannons) with 60 legos, rest skulls...
I attackes an opponent TH9 guy with decent defenses (all maxed except for lv10 ats and cannons) and around 50% skulls, got two stars for my clan.
Well here comes the funny part, I had to use my 2nd attack against their weakest TH10 (lv1 infernos, xbows, lv6 walls and lv5 mortars and wiz towers) and those flametowers burned my whole gowipe, I've used 3 rage spells and one jump spell, I was near his TH but didn't get it... I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or so. Just sayin that even the biggest premmies defends well against a maxed TH9 troop attack, as long as those towers stand. And yea I know there are lots of youtube stuff with people getting easy 2 stars against strong TH10s, I'm not unexperienced and I know how to place my troops (200+ war stars) but it's really hard getting those towers down without freeze spells..

In my opinion the jump from TH9 to TH10 is a BIG BIG difference compared to other TH levels defense-wise.

So if it's such a huge advantage, then why don't you upgrade to TH10?

Or is there something else that offsets that advantage and balances things out?

Loot, raiding as a th10 is a huge pain

Our war clan just went against a clan with 3 premie th10s all with 2x level 1 infernos and we dont have any th10s at all. My 2 alts is our #1 and #2 both th9s with max gowipe. AL their infernos were set to multi so brought golem and Pekka. First attack didn't go so well got a 26% 1 star! Lucky the guy had his TH close to one side. Messed up bc I dropped most of my wizards after my golem and before my pekkas and those infernos just aate my killlers up. 2nd attack on their #1 we a lot better 60% 2 star.. learned from the 1st attack to make sure to drop the pekkas first before all my wizard. They did even have a chance against our top 3 players since most of their troops were th8-9 level. Just like it's said before premie th10 sucks at attacking.

People get confused and upgrade defenses at all costs, even gem it finished. The game is setup in a few ways to trip up the non gamers. There are 5 builders available for defenses but only 1 research lab. If you get defenses too far ahead of offense you can't attack in war. Then people rush their townhall thinking "if I just had a freeze spell". But an upgraded gowipe was needed before the freeze spell, specially level1 freeze. I have to admit I just passed on a TH10 target in favor of picking up stars on missed TH9 bases, and I don't like dealing with infernos and that is because I will definitely only 2 star a fairly defended TH10. But I can and will two star a TH10 which is what happens a lot of the time against th9 anyway..

I disagree. I've been TH10 for over 6 months now and I think it has been MUCH easier as a TH10.

You have the one huge advantage of pretty much never getting raided. I think I've only had two serious attacks on my base in over two months so the loss of loot from raids is pretty much 0, where as if you are a TH9 you are going to have the TH10 like me raiding your storages for 600k many times. It all evens out.

Outside of the recent 1 gem boosts I've NEVER had a problem with farming loot as I farm storages. I'm not saying that some TH10 don't have problems, I'm just saying that a lot of people talk it up to be something that it isn't.

OP, if you don't like it. Get on up to TH10 and fight fire with fire, disco style!

Or more specifically, the loot penalty. Upgrading to TH10 is a defensive advantage, but it causes a 50% penalty against TH8s and a 10% penalty against TH9s. So it's a trade-off.

If the OP values defense over available loot options, he should just upgrade to TH10. Otherwise, put up with it.
