No joking. I believe in individuals being armed. When seconds count, police are minutes away. No amount of diligent police force can prevent every act of violence. The only way to prevent this type of atrocities is for civilians to be armed.

I can't agree with the sentiments expressed in a majority of their cartoons, and precisely for that reason I doubt I will support the whole 'I am Charlie' movement, but its a free world and he definitely had the right to do so.

I very often disagree with the ideas expressed in Charlie Hebdo and have almost never read it. I only know it because of some drawings that creates problems a few years ago.

But As Voltaire famously said,

"I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it".
