i don't think that this is a good idea. unlike Pokemon, (talking about other games is ruled out on these forums, by the way), to can just magically max or base, because you would have to rearrange it. Making the game do tha is far too much to programm IMO.
I understand that you want a bigger sense of competition in the game, but there is one problem. Which is the ESA problem tha your next idea has, so I'll jus comment next paragraph....

Te problem with this idea is that abusive players can change their base layout (or a friend's layout) to match a war enemy's base if their th levels and defence levels are similar. Then they can try to analyse and destroy the war opponent's base. Then they can stroll along and win the war. I understand that the cost of doing so would be high, but always a potential problem with ideas like these.

But with any suggestion, this one also has its flaws. The graphical and technical requirements to this might make it effectively ruled to. Supercell has ruled out extra flags and stuff (might just be a rumour, but SC hasn't said anything) because of the graphical requirements. There are talks about how plate as limited by apple so the can add too much graphics because that takes up too much space and stuff. So hope of te best.
By the way, the most likely reason that player search is ruled out is because of privacy issues or the utter uselessness. (there are many players with the same name and you would have to look through each base, unless you knew their clan. The latter case makes it pretty useless to have a player search feature if you still need to know their clan.)

Fashion show is virtually pointless. Skirmish is a good idea tho. I've always wanted to be able to war against a clan of my choice.
