Absolutely, I have 4 gold mines down right now.
Lol the update came before anyone mentioned the Boost, so the ones that did start the upgrade got caught with their pants down. we should start seeing more level 12s in the next few days as the boost just ended

When the option to upgrade collectors happend I started upgrading them 3 at a time. By the time the 1 gem boost started the last three had 1 day to go till completion.
I made out like a bandit.
it is a waste to boost collectors even it was only one gem each.

I was more than generous. No need to spend 6 more gems for boosted gold mines to give more away. Why would I spend more gems? I went from 1mil in gold and elixir to 4mil in gold and in elixir, after 2 hours. I didn't even raid the full 2 hours for loot. I would stop in between raids to do other things around the house.

If you had like 50 gems, using 6 for 400k more loot from collectors is dumb when you could have extra barrack boosts. That's what he meant.
I spent about 160 gems on boosting barracks,spells DE drills and heros. I farmed about 100M each in gold and elixir in one and half week.
I dont think I would spend 100 more gems on boosting collectors to get that extra 4 M each.
Not worth it.
I agree... However. I have found collector raids on bases with maxed collectors that have already been abandoned for a few days.... And it was a beautiful thing. A very beautiful thing.

For those of us with kids and a full time job and can't spend hours at a time playing, the cheap boost to mines and collectors to double their output was awesome.
Much better than boosting barracks, especially when doing so requires trying to find good loot as a TH10, which is a chore in itself.
I'm not even gonna post on this..
I upgraded mine during the gem boost, I honestly don't use gems at all except for buying builders.

I got lucky, I had just finished all my elixir collectors when the one gem boost came out, and my last gold mine upgrade finished the day before the gold mine boost came out :rolleyes:
I continued with my collector upgrades and had all except 3 or 4 finished before the 1 gem boost for all collectors. They all finished within the first 3 days of the boost everything event so I had over a week of 12 level 12 gold mines and pumps and 2 level 6 drills all being boosted.
