giving 20,000 gems to the top clan is wrong...

OK, my hearts just sank after checking through the top clan's member profiles...all of them have around 200k-500k Gold grab yet all of their troops, walls, defenses,heroes maxed out.


That's more than $5,000 spent on each and every accounts, to get what? to win 2,000 gems per season! wait wait! come again?! I mean each and everyone of them spent 600,000+ gems just so they can win 2,000 gems at the end! or in those guys' definition they are winners after spending $5,000 all on scratch-off tickets ends with a $15 winning one.


Anyway IMO I think those 2,000 gems really have no meaning/value to those "top" guys, they should goto the lowest clan divided among lowest 10 members in such. Just like The World Bank, if you want to give out money and help people, do it meaningfully and help those who really needs it.

Why does it bother you? Just enjoy the free game payed by those guys.

i dont think you understand how tough it is to maintain your spot in the leaderboards especially in the top 10.. you probably couldnt do it even if you farmed your base to max thinking it actually matters... after all its them who keep the game free for the rest of the people who dont buy gems

Well given that they are currently the best in the World atm, rewarding them seems proper. Also, 2000 gems every season adds up if you are the leader for that long. 2000 gems can go a long way if you are using them sparingly and waiting for new content. Its not about giving out premium currency to those that need help, its about rewarding the best clan in the world.

They are the top players because they like the game and felt like it was worth spending money into them. I see no problem in that. Also its harder than you think to maintain their spot as in the leaderboard and a member of a top clan with more trophies than others. IMO the gems are symbolic.

And as your post suggest we give the gems to the lowest members of the clans that makes no difference because as I said earlier such a comparatively puny amount of around 2000 won't do anything. Give them to the lowest clan? Then who is the lowest clan and how can it be proved? Most of the low clans will be dead players with low trophies. It's a waste of free gems and even if the single member is active that's 20k gems directly given without division and earned without hard work.

You're right about one thing. Those 2,000 gems don't mean a dang thing to top players, but tell me again why should the lowest clan get the gems? What is the logic behind that? SC is not a charity. Those low clans are not starving children that are going to die if help won't arrive soon. They are just players all the same. Very few of them are significant spenders. Those top clans, on the other hand, are no doubt huge spenders, and reward the best among them seems fit. I mean they are the ones that keep the flow of profit going and keep the game virtually free for the rest of us who aren't that big of a spender. 2,000 gems are nothing because they spend way more than that but at least it's a nice trophy for people why try hard at this game.

This may sound harsh but if I have a business and someone bring me big profit, I'd reward that person, not the one that didn't buy anything but always ask for freaking "coupon." It's that simple.

lots of people seem to ask what benefits does it give to award lowest clan with gems. Well there are many, let me just list a few:


1, it helps people jump start on their coc journey, 2,000 gems can help a TON for a newbie.


2, it makes players who received gems feel like they just "steal a deal" therefor they will be more involved in coc thus helps them to get into main stream thus injecting more TH7-9 into the system thus ease the ever-worsening economic.


3, once those players get the hang of how "sweet" those gems can be at helping them in coc they will tend to buy more gems, big win for SC.


4, we all know that those top players dont care about 2,000 gems anyway, taken it away and they will buy 2,000 more every season without blink of eye, SC will be more than happy if all of them to buy 2,000 more gems every season.

One problem with this post, I would guess the lowest clan would work really hard to stay at 0 cups. If you've been down sub 200 you know its not easy staying down there. You would probably have to make sure the whole clan was logged on dropping cups at the end of the season.

PS. I think giving gems to the lowest clan is a bad idea. The 2000 gems is a trophy, or maybe a thank you for putting an unbelievable amount of time (and money) into a game getting to be the top players.

what constitutes the "worst clan"? any one-member clan and inactives clans come to mind instantly meaning that those gems are wasted. There is no definitive way to say you are the worst clan, only the strongest clan out there

Its harder to maintain top 10. Either way they can drop down and get their gems. basically drop their queen and lose and drop down then they get gems.

it's harder than you think to maintain a low enough trophy count to qualify for these hypothetical gems that would be given to the lowest ranked players in the lowest ranked clan.

Supercell wants to reward them for their hard work... sure 2k gems is enough to fund only 5 raids or so, but at least it is something. They don't have to give them those gems, but they do.

Wow... I usually forget there is such thing as clan tournaments for a reward of gems... It never effects me is why

Kidding aside, if that's how they want to play good for them. I can't imagine this game being even remotely fun if I bought my base, but their unrestrained spending keeps this game going. So let them have those reward gems.

how do you find the baddest clans? just make a whole new account and let it stay right after tutorial in a single clan and recieve 2k gems every season? lololol

Jorge Yao got over 36,000 season bonus gems. Considering SC owe us nothing, thats pretty good.

Clans should be rewarded gems for being bottom? Gotta say that is one of the strangest ideas I've read on these forums.
