Because it would be cool to be able to name them!
Maybe with a certain amount of unit, building and wall kills they could unlock prefixes and suffixes that you could choose.
"Lord Conan the Destroyer"
"Charlemagne, Slayer of Hogs"
etc etc.
No game play changes of course but would add some cool personalization to everyone's base and heroes.
This would be pretty cool. Maybe just premade names or the ability to switch up names and titles like you said. The reason I said this is because people making offensive names or titles. Other then that I think this is pretty cool. Support from me!

Here is the million dollar question. Are they going to allow players to rename them after? Keep in mind that they haven't allowed the renaming of anything that you can currently name.

Look, we all know they aren't going to do this. The brat contingent of COC would come up with all kinds of vulgar names and here go the abuse reports that SC doesn't want to deal with. But its a fun thought what we would name them if we could.
Maybe you could unlock names based on how many enemy troops it destroyed in defense and what type they were, or the cc troops destroyed by the king or one of his spawned barbarians.
hopefully this will have a content filter, because I can see a lot of &!¥€£s, and @%#¤§ being deployed on the battlefield.
Personally I would call them Wilhelm and Caite.

Perhaps. Who knows though. It seems highly unlikely the villages are keyed based on name, particularly because names can be duplicated. Also we can't rename clans either and we know they are keyed with unique identifiers (we can search them).Quote:

I love the idea and support it but I agree with many others about the inappropriate names. Lord knows how many immature kids will get butt hurt when their account gets banned, and mommas credit card will have been used in vain.

Inevitably you would get people giving them inappropriate names, but I don't think having a preset choice of names would give people enough freedom.
