I honestly don't think it's changed it for the better.
Well since you asked....
About 2006/7 I started playing online poker, just for fun and kicks. As I got better and better at the game and had some small successes, I started to wonder if I could ditch my boring office job and play professionally. But I wanted to prove I could do it before taking the leap, so I upped stakes. Over the next year I lost probably around £6000-8000.
I was prepared for the loss, and although I had lost some money, I still had my job and decided to stop playing. But that was where it was hard! I missed the game so much! In fact I carried on playing in my spare time and carried on losing.
CoC came out mid 2012, and I jumped on board and loved the game, and I have never played poker since. So clash has saved me a lot of money, as I have only spent £15 on gems and that was from an iTunes gift card.
I have tried out other games, but this is the only one that has kept my attention since quitting poker.

I dont think that changed my life for better, I used to read 35 books a year, now I can hardly read one book a year. I spend all my free time in coc.
If a mobile game has changed your life, I have nothing but bad news for you. :p
