A few months ago, I learned about a game called Clash if Clans. Little did I know that it would ruin my life when I typed in my Apple ID password to download the game. I became obsessed with the game, never drinking, never sleeping, never thinking. My eyes became red, my armpits began to smell, my face became a filthy mess of greasy hair. I needed a good night's rest, but I had to upgrade my defenses. One early morning at 2 AM, I suddenly realized something: I would not be able to win without buying gems. I bought a 4.99 gem pack to speed up that nights gameplaying. Next thing I know I'm buying 4.99 gem packs every night until my friend tells me 99.99 gem packs are more valuable. Grinning through my horrific beard and greasy hair, I buy one. And another. And five more after that. Soon enough, there was not enough money left in my bank account to cover the cost of the high amounts of the 99.99 gem packs I was buying. My boss fired me, and I went mad with rage. I got Unemployment Insurance and the rates were high enough to cover a few more 99.99 gem packs, but eventually I was forced to sell my house and car and move in with my girlfriend. A few days with her, and she saw the sight I was in and she kicked me out. Having no where to go, I took my iPad mini and walked with hung shoulders down Central Park, tears running down my greasy face. I tried sitting on the side of the streets with a sign (Need spare change for CoC) but people threw angry glares at me or looked at me with pity. Desperate, I called Supercell and demanded they give me free gems, they replied kindly that I could earn more by clearing bushes and doing achievements. Furious, I tried calling Apple, but I had used my last pocket change for the long-distance call to Helsinki.
As I was walking down 35th street, I suddenly realized what my life had become. My eyes were opened and something lifted off my chest. Knowing what I should do, I deleted Clash of Clans... and installed Hay Day.
