Research in Laboratory

I just registered for the first time so I don't know if anyone thought of this, but it would be good if you could use gems to speed up research time in Laboratory.
I think this would boost gem sales more than just using gems to complete research immediately, plus they could still leave the option available to finish research for gems. In fact, I think it would be a good idea for all upgrades.
I think their gem sales will increase over time. They could try it out and see, if not just revert back to the old way.

Supercell would not do this. It's the same as boosting a builder. Upgrades cannot be boosted. Also this would lower their gem sales, not increase it, since ppl r using X gems a day which will round off to less than 150 gems per upgrade as opposed 1000-2000 gems per the longer upgrades
