Yes, I stated in my first post that my gold storages were full, gold collectors were almost full and my CC has 1.2m gold on it.

I check the attacker's base after that defense. His storages were far from full the time he attacked me.

Probably he accidentally pressed the end battle button. Now he is probably beating himself up for doing it. Either this or he is a nice guy :D. If I were him, I would have DEFINITELY gone for the loot. You never see that amount of gold often!
