Really struggling with Loot at Townhall 10! Please help.

Hey guys, had a massively frustrating few weeks on clash. For the past few week i have been struggling with loot at townhall 10, I started at 2000 cups and raised up to 2500 to try and find loot but I'm having no luck. I played for 2 and a half hours this morning and I started at 440k gold I'm now at 200k gold, I try to find raids that are above 150k gold and elixir, my army costs 67,500k (max barch army) elixir so accepting anything lower than 100k would be pointless and its taking me anywhere from 100-250 searches to find anything acceptable. Please guys can I have some help? I'm really demotivated with this game at the minute. Where is the loot!?

Are you not finding bases that have loot at all? Or is it that you're not finding bases that have loot which your army composition can take? Maybe throw some minions in there and go BAM. At Town Hall 10, you should have no problem keeping enough dark elixir to use minions in your crew, and they make all the difference sometimes in getting storage containers.

I would imagine that the one gem boost right now is going to keep people online more often. Which means less loot in mines. But now that that's over maybe some of those people will stay offline longer giving barch a chance to profit once again.

I just turn TH10 this week, so I'm still with TH9 offense army. I'm using different strategy, get 50% barch for the loot bonus. Do not use spell, or any other troops. Try to use less army like 130-180 units to save elixir cost. Mine on average is about 35k-45k elixir.

Aim for the loot bonus only. Go as high in Crystal or if you can sustain in Master. If you found collectors, that's a bonus. I try not to raid storage. TH snipe also, that's a definite elixir saver. A tesla trapped TH is still "cheaper" to get a star than 50%. Test for bombs/traps with a barb at TH from several angles first. Trapped TH needs 50-100 units only, about 15-30k elixir.

During boost, I only boost 1 barrack (archer), the other 3x barbs.
Attack every 8-14 minutes, depending on how much army I used up. I only next about 5-15 times only for 1k gold each.
It's nothing spectacular, but at least I profit from all 3x resources slowly. Since the build times are long, I'm stuck with storages 8M gold, 5M+ elixir, 160k+ DE and after waiting for 2 days, my next builder is free in couple of hours. Going to dump into lava walls.

If you want to use barch as a TH10, I think the smartest play right now is to do it in the highest league you can and go for the league bonus. Treat anything you get from mines/collectors/exposed storages as the bonus.

I found Gold 1 to Crystal 1 to have wide variances between sessions - some really great, some really horrible. When I barched M3 for the league bonus, I pretty much averaged out the great and horrible sessions at lower leagues.

If you can barch to Champs, you'll still get a lot of matchups against M2 bases, but get the Champs bonus. ;)

Cheers guys, I think I'll just try and go as high as possible and see how that goes. What's the worst that can happen right? It can't be worse than it is now 😂

Good and easy loot, not a lot of de tho you'll find from 1750 - 2000. I play for over a year now and never faced a situation I didn't found loot at all.

I had similar issue, it was made worse by wall-update sapping the Elix from the economy..(lessened by subsequent wall nerf; L9 + Elix eligibility only) it was very frustrating and for the first time I felt like I was being punished for upgrading THs on some days.

my best advise is to go crazy on those camps. get some Dark upgrades going in the lab while you focus your Elix on them. once you get them maxed, its like a light is shined and you can get that extra bit of farming power HP & DPS to bust up those TH9s for wins with Barch,BAM or their variants.. anywhere from G1 to M3.

TH8 is off the menu for loot (but not trophies or easy win bonus, heh heh..) unless you find a rare full collector base.. and know T1 troops get shredded by TH9's better equipped defenses.. so your goal is to find some weaker TH9s or Weak 10 with upgrading or no ITs, or the poor set up ones with reachable storages in the above mentioned ranges with good win bonuses...

If you can save on spells all the better, but sometimes a spell is not only necessary, but increases your grab, so use as needed per situation. the key is making sure with what ever league you are in, you win and include that loot in your total take from the raid. and if you need a spell, make sure you cover the cost of the spell and some of the troop cost aswell.. Profit from the spell is what Im saying.

Use Royals for clean up to get that last 47-50% if your troops alone are not winning consistently. don't be afraid to pay that next fee.. Gold and Dark for matter are easier to come by IME so use more Dark troops to lessen the Elix load, and help get those wins.

now that my camps are maxed, it seems easier to stack Elix.. go figure..
