How could my remaining attacks get 1 star from a lower target that doesn't exist, if we have max stars, there's no more! Again I'm not saying that always happens, but it has.
Blackcollector, we have the exact same attack strategy as you do, mirror first attack , clean up on the second, so that's where my issue is, if we do good on our first attacks and say the only available stars are our top 2 opponents, who's left to get them, it's not so possible for players to attack a higher ranked player than what they are.
That is why the key players are your top 5 because they need to be perfect on their 10 attacks.Quote:

I always start by taking off the first player on the other side. It gives the indication to our second and third player if I will need help on the top bases. If I get 2 or 3 stars, everybody just do the regular plan. If I miss, it means our TH10 won't probably have attacks available to help the TH9s. So TH9s must up their games.
Our 3 TH10 are close to max. 5 of out 10 TH9 are close to max. That's 8 players that can take out almost anything. It really helps.
I know I am de-railing the thread, but having a hard policy to attack your same numbered city is a bad idea. You want your city with the strongest OFFENSE (not DEFENSE) to attack their city with the strongest defense. I know this is an extreme example, but in my old clan as a maxed TH9 (offense and defense) I was ranked below all the rushed TH10s with infernos and lvl1 golems and pekkas (some didn't even have witches unlocked). They had zero chance at getting two stars on a TH10, but I could easily take two on most of the Th10s we were matched against. Should I have attacked 4 or should I have attacked 1 & 2?
That's circumstances of clans. If you have weak section in clan line up, then someone has to cover up.Quote:

You should probably review the FAQ, because you seem to be misinformed about how Clan Wars works. Whether or not an opponent has been attacked for 1, 2, or 3 stars, subsequent members can still attack them and earn loot as long as their attack is for at least 1 star (50% destruction or destroying the TH). Only new stars count toward your score, but you can still get 1 star from a lower target and get loot even if you have max stars.Quote:

I see how if you had 5 top players that were close to equally capable how you could rely on them to help each other, meaning #3 could also make an attempt on the opponents #1, but for clans like mine who are still developing, we have a pretty direct possibility of only being able to get either your rank or something lower, th8 is our highest. We personally don't have a problem getting the lower stars, even if some are missed and our top players clean them up on the second wave, there is no one to get any missed ones at the top. So if for some reason we have a draw, even with left over attacks, there's nothing we can really do. So in the end if we executed our first wave more effectively and results in us having a draw with less attacks used, in my opinion we did better. Besides that because i understand that there are a lot of ways to spin this and accuse our clan of having inactive members and/or members who only go for easy stars, when in actuality we simply have a good clan that most times gain most all of our stars on the first wave of attacks, normally the only thing left is at the top, again who supposed to get those, yet when we tie our opponent and they had to continue attacking to achieve the same result we did. All of that aside, we have had happen once where all stars were obtained by both clans, 30stars, yet we accomplished this with just 1 or 2 more than half of our attacks, our opponents however used most all of their attacks, neither clan could get anymore stars. How should that not be a victory to the clan that showed up with equal "firing power" , but used a lot less to gain the same result?
