Clan chat idea..

I was thinking. Since being able to see which players were on was considered stalking? And ruled out or whatever, why not make it to where when you open the chat, next to the blue clan info button it would say in a green box how many people where online? You wouldn't know exactly who was online, but you could know if someone was so you didn't have to keep asking if anyone was on and then waiting to see if you got a reply. It wouldn't be stalking yet it would still allow for you to see if people are on. And if you get a new member and you tell them your clan is really active or whatever, now they can finally see.

This is a brilliant alternative to the ruled out online indicator that would not breach privacy concerns.

The other reason the online Indicator was possibly ruled out is because the servers would have to check every few seconds through the entire player base to see who is online and who is not. This might add considerable lag. However if you are just showing the number I don't think the server need to check every fee second but just once every 5 minutes or so .

Yes, I wish you could see who is online if it's technically doable.

I'm in a small clan with mostly Americans and I'm from europe, it would be nice to see if someone is online to chat, especially for clans with few members.

If it would be possible to see exactly who is online it would probably need to have an on/off setting though.

Well On/Off notification is ruled out.

What the ruled out is saying, is that you can't tell exactly who is on or off, this way it just has a number of people that are on. Not telling exactly who is or isn't on.

Nice idea I like it. I have an idea as well. I don't know if someone else had this idea, I only just registered here, but it really would be nice if you could use gems to speed up research time in the laboratory. This would also boost sale of gems by supercell.
