Around Gold 2 and gold 1 depends if regular farming or DE farming.

Gold 2 has been great for bam

I maxed out my Th9 defences 1600-1700 the whole time I was upgrading them

Great loot found in Gold 2, raiding while on here and finding many inactive bases with full collectors, same as what i have found here for a long time. I have stayed in this trophy range since town hall 8 because of all the loot, its easy to get to and you don't have to worry about not enough DE as there is a good bit. When the loot suddenly takes 20 next's to find, drop a troop on 2-3 bases, surrender and search again. :)
