I'm almost finished maxing my defenses for TH9 so I was thinking of doing traps but would walls be better finished first? Also, I'm new to the forums and was wondering how do you get all the info about or clash in the bottom off ach reply and post. Thanks.
i do traps but i think most people prefer walls
Traps. Walls take much longer, and high level traps can really help a lot. And it's always fun to see someone's raid go completely wrong, especially if it's live, cuz of high lvl traps.

You can type upto 5 lines, but make sure no GIFs, it's against forum rules.

Walls.
Right now i'm almost full TH8 and I have 100/225 walls level 8, maxed with elixir basically. But now, thanks to that great idea of putting only the upgrade of walls with gold by Supercell, I have 6M of elixir that I can't spend on nothing.
It would be good to upgrade those walls from level 7 to level 8 with elixir also, but...
Traps! You will be doing walls for the rest of the game....
I'm in same position as you....and have decided to do walls first...and will do the traps once walls near complete...I just want to save the extra rearm costs for a while ( I use a farming base, with TH outside unprotected) Since DE is the only I ever get a lot of...its been working well for me.
I would say do both! Do the math and figure out, "If I have this many walls to upgrade and this many trap upgrades, how many walls do I need to upgrade each trap upgrade to make them finish at around the same time?" If that makes sense. For example, for every 20 walls you do, upgrade 5 traps one level up. This will help take away from the sheer boring-ness of upgrading walls, and it's what I always do! Clash on!

To the OP, if you have finished some or all skull walls then just throw your elixir on Legos while using gold on traps and also in case of overflow gold, keep one builder free while working on traps and use overflow gold on walls too:) traps are worth it to upgrade
